no 0-60 times all though we will be in homestead next mon and tues for Grand Am Test day...ill take some more pics of the car and post them....i crew for tht car so i know it like the back of my hand.

 

are you guys running infrared tire temp guages?

How much does the car weigh?

 

no infared tire temp gagues we are a private team with no help from mazda at all whts so ever and we have been running since last year....the whole body on the car is carbon kevlar except for whts left of the stock body....the roof is getting chopped off and replaced by a carbon kevlar roof...so by the time we go 2 daytona in jan for testing the car will be right around 2300lbs

 

if you work on it you musta hated when this happened.

that thing sounds awesome. A lot like the courage P2 car. Loudest things on the track.

 

I saw that car last year at rolex, pretty nice, saw it durring testing and it was kick ***, sounded awsome! Huge Flames.

Have you guys gotten more of the problems sorted out.

 

yea since last year the car has come along way...when you saw it at the daytona test day it was running the old engine manegment system with a different intake setup and the motors back then had over 80 hours of race time on the so they were really low on power......

 

Now the motors are brand new we have a sequential shifter setup for the jerico trany.....the car has penske coilovers.A Motec Engine Mangement System. and we put even bigger brakes on from Performance Friction...it had wilwoods but those things where garbage.......and tht picture of the car hitting the wall on the first page....yea tht was are 4th paying driver and yea we were all a lil bit pissed but it could have been alot worse...eve thoe the car did take a hard hit nothing serious happend to it....

 

congrats on the car. what parts of the rx8 did you keep? and what are your predictions for next year? any changes?

you guys need to sell that body kit. simply put, i blows EVERYTHING we have now out of the water.

for next year i think the car will do better than last year and wont break as much..last years daytona 24 was the big shake down test for tht car. we wont be running the whole season do to the fact tht we are a private team meaning tht we dont have as much money as a factory backed team...so will be running a hand full of races but the car will be alot quicker and reliable.

 

That is so awesome! I just found out though that the event at Ca. Speedway may not be held this year due to some modifications of the track. Do you know if there will an event held at Ca. Speedway? If not.. Will you attend the Laguna race? I have got to attend an event that you race at next year.
