Which highflow cat did you go with?

 

Envy you I am trying to buy the same exhaust for months now, but always something else comes up I feel though that the time is coming soon

i understand..that's how i feel about the turbo...i'm saving up to get it..maybe end of the year or beginning of next year!!

 

May I ask where you purchased this and for what price? I'm considering this exhaust.

 

Assaultech!! here on the forum..i called them..around $1100..almost $1200 with tax i think.. dont remember pretty well.

 

I really like this exhaust's sound and design, but I can't get over how the tips look like they were just hacksawed-off tubing. It'd be nice if the tips were rolled or tapered.

Noticing there's a spot for the O2 sensor, I assume this does not cause a CEL, correct?

 

There are other exhaust tips that u can buy in the website..check it out..and yes that is the cat i got..
it does cause a CEL some times...sometimes the light comes on and sometimes it doesnt..or maybe i got a problem..i'll check it tomorrow at this body shop..at least the CEL only came on the 2nd day after driving it too hard...i actually drive my car like i stole it...fast all the time :P

 

Aha ata boi, thats how they should be driven, get all that carbon out of the engine. but why assulttech? why not get it from exoticspeed directly? cus im getting my rII carbon exhaust soon and im thinking about buying directly from them. did assulttech give you any accessories like decal stickers or shirts?

Lol..thanks man..I guess from assaultech they were offering a discount or they still do. Yeah they gave me this chrome or aluminum exoticspeed decal.

 

dude i need your help! i have been looking to buy the exoticspeed r1-t exhaust for my 04 rx8 but cant figure out where to buy it from? is there anyway you can help me out? your car sounds/looks badass i give you kudos!

the rt-1 is discontinued. And you can buy from assaultech they are an exoticspeed distributor talk to Dan or you can buy directly from Exoticspeed.com - Sorry, we are under construction

 

When I look at assaulttech.com it says that the r1-t exhaust does not fit the rx-8. The only ones that were available were the s1-t and the R2-Titan. Did you have to do any modifications? Any advice would be great!
