Here are my pics, Don't worry I know I'm young but I'm a really good and careful driver, I even bought the chrome rubber thing you see on the door to protect from hitting other chars when the door is opened.

shelleys_man_06 07-10-2004 06:28 PM

Congratulations on your new toy :). Why go with the A/T?

Twinturbo2800 07-10-2004 07:38 PM

nice pics bro..... but your first mod should be taking that ugly silver thing off the door. :)

mikeb 07-10-2004 07:48 PM

welcome and congrats

\\Konig\\ 07-10-2004 08:57 PM

Congratulations. Have fun with your new 8! And yes the chrome thing should be taken off...

Krayzie8 07-10-2004 09:31 PM

why an auto???
lose the chrome door things....

Bankotsu 07-10-2004 09:32 PM

ut oh...big pimp in his RX-8. All the girls will want you now. I just wished I had my RX-8 before I graduated though.

Preacher 07-10-2004 10:15 PM

Congratulations,MOST excellent job, dude, and don't let anybody tell you different.
Grad w honors is quite an achievement, and that's a nice gift!
(Ouch on insurance,eh?) :)

Have a great summer!

[QUOTE=VelociRedBeast]Here are my pics, Don't worry I know I'm young but I'm a really good and careful driver [QUOTE]

I love the preface to prevent the young driver flame! Congrats on the honors and on that beautiful car. Take care of it and you will have some of the best memories of your life. Good luck!

SuPerHerO::tOnY 07-11-2004 08:05 PM

rawr im gonna be repetitive like the other guys...why auto and take off those ugly chrome things!

Moostafa29 07-11-2004 08:26 PM

I won't comment on the auto, or those American looking chrome things on the doors....but congrats on the car, and more importantly, congrats on graduating with honors. Now go to a good college, get a good job, and get a 6speed. :D

RX-GR8 07-11-2004 08:28 PM

congrats on your new 8.

XDEEDUBBX 07-11-2004 09:36 PM

nice pics..but is that chrome lining i see on your door sill??ahhh!!!!

red_rx8_red_int 07-11-2004 09:54 PM

Yea, Congrats. But lose the chrome, much better on paper than on the car. If you want chrome, do the wheels. I saw an 8 recently with the stock wheels chromed and it looked sweet.

CUE2's RX-8 07-11-2004 10:51 PM

Congratulations on your new car, and I know you'll enjoy the ride! The Mazda dealer sells door protectors that are matched for your color of car . . . if you choose to remove the chrome protectors.

Maximus 07-11-2004 10:54 PM

loose chrome :)

DontHateThe8 07-13-2004 05:04 PM

Im suprised u graduated with honors considering you used the wrong form of the word "break" in brake pads in your signature. not to be mean, but if you're gonna brag, make sure you can back it up.

shelleys_man_06 07-13-2004 05:06 PM

Ever heard the word typo?

DontHateThe8 07-13-2004 05:17 PM

yes, in fact i have. a typo is where you mess up on typing something, not with a grammatical error like incorrect word usage.

shelleys_man_06 07-13-2004 05:22 PM

What is this English comp?

moogs 07-13-2004 08:11 PM

i'm never worried about my doors hitting other people's cars. i'm worried about the other idiots that can't, for some stupidass reason, judge the distance between their doors and the side of my car...

Dlrosie 07-13-2004 08:42 PM

Congrats, good job and enjoy!

Nemesis8 07-13-2004 08:48 PM

Be careful driving in sandels, oh - you have a AT!, OK sandels are OK :D

Great job on your grades! And great job on the 8 - by the way, you have some good low end torque in the AT ;)

Thanx everyone, BTW the chrome thing was something my dad told me I HAD to put on until I got used to opening the car door because the edges of the door are SO thin there's a high possibility of denting the edge, go check yourself, you'll notice they're abnormally thin.

And I went with auto because I'm staying at home for one more year and since my parents are helping with insurance until I graduate my mom gets driving privlages and she drives with both feet. but when I move out I'm going trading in for the six speed. getting pics soon with my car and my friend's del sol and my other friend's eclipse.

I suggest that you paint them red then. :D

JeupRX-8 09-01-2004 05:25 PM

Anyone can buy an RX-8, but you can't buy good taste. Some people just don't get it... This is up there with the Lexus gold-emblem package~totally hideous and pointless.

Troy J.

VelociRedBeast 09-01-2004 06:00 PM

Jeup what was that in referance to?

titaniumgrey 09-01-2004 08:24 PM

I was the same age as you when I got my first rx-8 (6 speed tho) , but it was before my graduation. Then right before graduation I got another rx-8 , 6 speed grand touring package ...

Anyways, errr just gonna follow eveyone else , why not 6 speed and why chrome things ?
lmao , how do you expect to drive a rx-8 when you can't even open the doors right

Sorry , I just love making fun of people around my age :D

JeupRX-8 09-01-2004 08:27 PM

Jeup what was that in referance to?
I was talking about the chrome strips that below on a escalade and not on a RX-8.

great8fifty 09-02-2004 10:26 AM

congratulations, but be careful!

:D I hope your parents have told you this, but Be Careful Out There. There have been lots of very bad accidents this summer in this area involving young people and fast cars. More than a few kids have been killed. So just take it easy. All it takes is one bad mistake to change your life forever. Fortunately, you are in one of the safest cars around.
Enough speech. Have fun. Be safe. And don't take any sh-- about the AT. You will have a blast in it.

Pete 09-02-2004 10:34 AM

congrats on the honors . Enjoy the 8

Liquid Rhino 09-02-2004 05:39 PM

Congrats, man! Welcome to the club... Nuthin' wrong with an auto, so don't sweat it! ;)

Enjoy the car!

800Degrees 09-13-2004 03:49 PM

Congratulations on the academic success! Congrats on the car
... now stand up, walk outside, go to your car, remove your shirt, come on - lose the shirt, tear those chrome things off the doors, give yourself 5 lashes on the back with the chrome strips for such a silly mod', now go pack for college... :)
Really - congratulations on the car and take car of it.

VelociRedBeast 09-13-2004 04:03 PM

Ok, ok, I took them off..happy now? :P

\\Konig\\ 09-13-2004 06:49 PM

you actually removed your shirt?

RX-Nut 09-13-2004 06:58 PM

Wow, congrats you lucky boy. Enjoy it!

PS. Don't forget to crop your pics.. :)

tRiX8 09-13-2004 07:16 PM

Congrats!

i don't like when people lean on the fenders, that's just me.

TNRED8 09-14-2004 04:47 AM

Sorry, but edge protectors will not prevent denting, only paint chipping.

I leaned on the panel just to the left of the gas tank and just to the right of the rear door... that dents easy. Don't lean on it while you are fueling...

Lighten up Jeup. damn. He said his dad wants the strips on the car. If I were 17 and got a new RX-8, I'd let dad put a pink dragon on the hood if it meant I got the car.

Lighten up.

jgellsworth 09-14-2004 01:37 PM

Congrats kid, well done!

Troy J.

You also can not buy respect. Good luck with that one yourself.

Oh, and in the real world I live in, though in your world a RX-8 is a plebian car, not anyone can buy a RX-8.

gretathegreek 09-17-2004 11:45 AM

Congrats! But lose the chrome. Yuck!

Mr. Ed's rx-8 09-17-2004 12:02 PM

congrats and enjoy!

you can buy color matched door stripping for our cars...that would keep your dad and everyone else happy. or just do what you want cause its your car!

Osiris 09-17-2004 10:27 PM

welcome, and enjoy ur 8. Now you should start throwing hints at ur parents about getting the MS body to go with ur new ride ;)

you'd seriously let him do that to the car??... i was 17 when i got my 8 and my dad goes buckwild (and really corny) with personalized license plates. my whole family was totally against it when he tried to put. *myname*heart symbol*rx8*
another example of my dad and personalized license plates... "y2kr*heat symbol*zy" (y2krazy) would you want that on your 8? i think not. unless you think pink dragons look good you wouldn't do it

Rx867Camaro 09-19-2004 09:06 AM

Congrads with the 8, I got mine right when i graduated high school. I've been trying to get mods done but they just cost too much money.

Good luck with it
