seems like the rx8 in the first vid was converted into a manual from a AT. it had a manual shift boot and it was in neutral position

 

^yup, you can hear him rev it up and dump the clutch at the end when he is doing doughnuts

anyone know what turbo kit that is? i didnt think there were any v-mount intercooler kits out there. it looks sexy as all hell.

I'm quite confused about the whole Manual/Automatic thing... The only thing that says "Automatic" to me is the steering wheel.

The gauges pod it definitely from a manual (automatic has a display showing PRND, etc...) The shifter definitely looks to be manual (although it is possible to just install a boot over the automatic shifter, as it's been done here before)

There is a shot in the video where the RPM's basically drop from 6k to nothing and then back to about 4k without him touching the shifter, so that definitely seems like Auto...

i believe the rx8 in the first video has an rx7 swap in it.

i am also confused with the auto and manual thing, but hey it might have been converted to SMG

 

I say it was originally an automatic RX8 but had a 13B-REW swap with an RX7 tranny to go with it.

 

forget it lets just find the owner!!! lol
