TX footwell led's, pictures

so, a million people helped me get these damn things wires (not rodger's instruction's fault, i just suck at wiring!! and i was adding a switch that confused the hell out of me! )

i figured no one would still look at the group buy since it's closed, so i'm posting some pictures here. thanks again to those who helped me (rotary rasp, alexb, dagnome, mazurfer, aj, canary, 8rocks (fixed! ) and anyone else i'm forgetting -- i wasn't kidding when i said i pm'd everyone!).

i LOVE them. i got a couple pics w/ the lights off for comparison. i look at it now and think, i can't believe i didn't have these for the past 6 years!!! thanks again rodger, i kinda wish i had about 8 more to wire throughout the car!! now i just gotta figure out how to wire my gf's mazda 3 and we'll be set!!

oh, i got front and back led strips...

PIC ORDER:
1 - from drivers side, lights off
2 - from drivers side (1)
3 - from drivers side (2)
4 - cockpit, lights off

O man, I just did mines aswell. Really liking the red, making me re think going white lol. I Ran into alot of problems too lol, that and the wind was really picking up, then the next day it got really hot. So first i got sick, then I started to sweat.

You didn't wire them to the wrong bundle of wires to did ya? lol, that is what got me

^ Ha ha, no, i was adding a switch and just couldn't wrap my head around how it was supposed to hook up. once i got it spelled out for me, and got the right tools, i was good to go.

i'm sure white looks sweet too. i like the red b/c of the red light already on the 8, it matches well.

it was sunny and hot when i did it...i got a flip-flop-tan on my feet from laying under the steering wheel so long!! ha ha, i saw it after and was like, wtf?!

i should really go out and shoot some new ones since this was with my old camera. i was the first (and for a while - only) one with green LEDs from rotaryrasp but he has done a couple more since then.

mine change colors with a push of a button but i didnt go the rotary rasp kit. I usually keep them on red just to go with the theme of the car. i still havent taken pictures since we got the new lights in the back seats wired up.

so what problem did you have. I also got mine from Rasps but I haven't been able to get it right. My lights only come on when I'm in reverse. I'm sure I must have wired something wrong cause there are a million wires down there. But I was just wondering?

For the rear LEDs, did you put them on the sides or under the seat?

The ones under my seat, keep getting kicked down by passengers.

ha ha, that would be a cool surprise for people riding in your car! i just couldn't figure out how to wire the switch in...switch = well worth the headache though.

still messing with this. that's good to hear though, b/c that's exactly why i didn't want them under the seats. right now, they are on the outside, by the door, basically right under the black bar that the seatbelts slide on. they angle too much upward from there though, and i don't want to get pulled over or anything, so i think i'll move them to the other side...on the inner side, on the center console, and velcro them there...

Here is my setup:

I used zip ties, but i didn't try velcro. Velcro would be easier, that you you just stick it back on when it gets moved.

But I'm going to do another round of LED upgrades to the interior and exterior in a month or so. I was thinking about adding some from the sides.

Any pics of the LED's location?

^^ that looks really good in the back. i'll have to try to take some pics tonight or tomorrow of my back lights. did you run your wires along the door sill?

i wanted to put them under the lip of the rear seat to face down from there...they'd never get kicked there...but i think the lip is just not quite wide enough...

Thx man. I ran the wires under the seat and then tucked under the running dash. But when I add the other LEDs, i'm gonna run everything within the running dash. Mainly because after driving the car hard, some wires show. But you'd only see them if you were inches away.
