Cool Finaly my car is posted (56k grab a soda)

Anyone who has gone to the orlando area meets has seen the car, but I finaly got around to posting some pics! I just got the MS bumper and the hood is just OEM, so thats the black pimer showing, still thinking about painting the hood gloss black (like a black RX8) or painting it silver and leaving the center 'rotor' shape black, dunno yet....so im waiting, and te car is mostly sitting in the garage at home. I am really suprised how agressive the stock hood looks on the silver car when its black....amazing IMO. I dont really like the look of CF on the car, not even the OEM looks hoods, its a little more grey than black... anyway on to the pics :

I just got the MS bumper on about a week ago, and tommorow (monday) the mazdaspeed sideskirts and foglight brackets come in, so I can add those this week.

Below the 2005 RX8 are pictures of the 1999 MX5, the 'hardcore' roadster!

Sorry about the quality, the cam is 8MP but my dumbass forgot to clean the lens, full of juicy finger prints....lol

My goal for the RX8 is Mazdaspeed (MS) bodykit, AutoEXE suspension goodies, then some intake exhaust mods (for sound and response, the car has the power for what I like to do).

Dont worry I dont have anything nearly as extream planed for the rx8...lol

Mods :

9# Flywheel
Stage 2 Steet/Strip ACT Clutch
Intake
Header
Highflow Cat
Cat Back
4 Point Cage
Groud Control Coilovers
AGX 4 Way Shox
Racing Beat Front Sway Bar
Rear Sway Bar Delete
Short Shifter
DND (Recaro Replica) Seats
Racing Beat Rear Subframe Brace
Porterfield Brake Pads
Goodrich Stainless Steel Brake Lines
All Syn Fluids
NGK Plugs and Wires
14* BTDC Timing Advance
A/C Delete
Stereo Delete
Manual Steering Conversion
Heavy Weight Reduction (1950lbs Dry Curb)
Konig Greenlight Wheels (15x7)
205/50/15 Kumho Rubber (street)
205/50/14 Falken Azenis Sport Rubber (track)

Ive got Mazda in my blood now!

i got a couple stickers in the mail with a flyer to test drive the current (05) lineup of hemi powered cars, I thought it was funny, i had one on the miata and someone acutaly tore it off (mad at me maby?) but I thought it would be funny to stick it on the nose of the car, on the blockoff plate for the crash bumper. I may pull it off later, but for now its just a little joke.

I was at Epcot at Disney yesterday, as I was parking and getting out of the car, I overheard a lady say to her husband "Its got a hemi, a mazda with a hemi, wow thats neat" well at least she knew who made the car, thats more than a lot of people I run into.

Great looking car. Mikeb, I think he said that the hood is OEM.

Are you going to get the MS rear bumper? You thinking of painting the calipers as well? Black maybe?

>MIKEB / XDEEDUBX : The hood is just an OEM mazda aluminium hood, NOT carbon fiber it hasnt been painted yet (old hood got damaged) so it just has the satin black primer on it...im not sure if I want to paint it all gloss black, or paint it silver (like the body) and paint the 'rotor' in the center of the hood gloss black....still thinking about it, doing some photochops to test out different ideas.

>NGORX8 : The sideskirts and foglight brackets (for the MS nose) come today, so I will put them on and take more pics this week.

>BLUEFRENZY : I plan to get the whole MS kit, all OEM not replica, part by part, I hate to have stuff laying in the garage, I want to get it on the car ASAP, so I am doing it one part at a time, as the part is on and everything, I order the next part, hence the front MS nose and then the side skirts, ect. I want to paint the calipers Gloss/Clearcoat Black with a Silver (body match) 'MAZDA' logo on the fronts.

>RX8WANNAHAVE : The pictures were taken at Altimonte Mall (SR436 & I4) in the small 3 tier parking structure.

The order of things to come is as follows :

*MS side skirts / Fog light bracket (come today)
*Wheels (there are few im looking at, all are 18x8, 5 spoke Gunmetal w/ polished lip) end of Dec (xmas)
*MS Wing (after the 1st of the year)
*MS Rear Diffuser/Bumper (after the wing is here and installed)

Then get some performance mods :

*AutoEXE Coilovers
*AutoEXE Front/Rear Tie Bars
*AutoEXE Front/Rear Sway Bars
*AutoEXE Body Braces

Then Come summer ill need new tires so I think im gonna go with the Falken 615's from a cost/performance standpoint.

When thats all done, around mid summer '06 I will start looking into intakes, exhaust, ect, ect.

I want to first focus on the looks of the car, im going for a clean, almost factory look, hence the MS kit and clean 5spoke wheels...ect. I am pretty happy with the power and handling, so the first mod of those will be improve the grip on the road (cause why have more power if you cant get it to the ground) so I will be tuning the suspension, peice by peice, then get a good allignment and get the car corner weighted and such, then, finaly....some 'power' adders, mostly for the sound (make it match the looks) and hopefully get a little better response.

Theres lots to come, and now that Ive got my image hosting site working again, I will post as progress continues.

This is not going to be a show car, I autoX and do track days thru the year...I hate to see a fine tuned machince just get pulled around on a trailer and never get used...cars are made to be driven, and sports care are made to be driven hard!

Thanks for the kind words.

Ky, sweet looking car.

Silver is such an awesome color for showing off the curves on our car.

As much as I love black, I say you paint the hood silver again. It'll look soooo clean with that MS kit.

ZUHALTER VATI : frist off I lvoe teh cmabrigde tihng, I raed taht aticrle and touhgt it was prttey naet. lol

Anyway the 'speed holes' , that is open to some debate... Youll see them on both drag and road course cars, it gives the high pressure air under the bumper a place to go.... Ive seen them on everything from ProDrag Civics to Porsche road cars, on the miata it was due to the fact that I had no rear crash bumper and there was QUITE a gap back there at speeds above 85mph the air getting traped under there would start to try and pull the bumper off, so I drilled the holes out, my goal with that car was LIGHT and FAST with minimal power. So I cut off all the fat I could, and lightly modded the engine. The bumper holes were more something i 'had' to do.
