Finally! New Volks! Lots of pics...
Well, after waiting months for them to get in and then a few months to be able to buy tires and such... I've finally been able to get my volks on my car. Not the best pictures, but I wanted to get some pictures before the sun went down.
Only bad thing so far is that I managed to get a little curb rash on the passenger's side rear. I have no clue how that happened because I was very careful on the way home and I know it wasn't there when I left. Oh well, at least it didn't get bent (knock on wood). Let me know what you think!
edit: forgot to post specs....

Front: 18x8 +33
Rear: 18x9 +27
245/40/18 all around (Falken 452)

I'm sorry....I'm a huge Volk Racing wheels fan, but that color just doesn't seem to flow with the rest of your car.
Did you order them through Volk with those colors?

I think those Volks go better with a VR or a WWP. You can paint/powdercoat those red and white spokes black and it would probably look better.

I think it can definitely work, but on a stock body.....it just doesn't quite hit the spot if you know what I mean....just constructive criticism that's all.
Great wheels though.....I love Volk wheels! Almost as much as I love Advans

eh, I'm happy with the way it came out. I'm not done with the exterior looks yet. I'll be getting at the very least coilovers, a new front end and probably a new spoiler... maybe a rear, but I dont like a lot of the aftermarket rears, so I'm still undecided on that. I dont know that I'm going to incorporate more red to the exterior but I am thinking about it... though not sure how yet. It wont be happening soon, so I have time to think.
As far as going with black... I do like the look of black on black, but I wanted to break the mold a bit. I was originally looking at a time attack scheme (black with the red pin striped lip) but the one I wanted was sold out, so I decided to go with this. Going completely black on the GT-F doesn't look good in my opinion. I do like the look of the MDC/black combo (same set up as mine, but black where the red is), but I still wanted to do something a bit more unique. I knew some people would like it and some wouldn't like it.
Keep the comments coming... even criticisms are welcome.
edit: guess I was typing this when you responded... As I mentioned in this post, I do plan on doing more to the exterior. I dont really have a reason why, but at the time, I had the money to spend and chose to go with rims first. I might have been better off going with the body kit or something else first, but I felt like doing the more extreme part first I guess.

Nice! Glad you finally got them on! They actually look pretty good. Now, if you want to keep them looking that good, make sure you follow my advice that I posted in your thread on maintaining them. You will be glad that you did.

yeah, I've been meaning to. I tried some stuff once and it didn't work as well as I had hoped so I got something that was recommended (cant remember the name... came in a round silver tin though lol) and never got around to using it. You're supposed to be distracted by the shiny wheels though...

sexy Volks but not sure I"m feeling the color.
you shoudl look into filming your rear taillights red, add the rear rotary fog light (red), and maybe paint your calipers red.

very adventurous and I like it... it'll flow much better with a drop and either the oem appearance package or a mazdaspeed kit.
I think they might be a little aggressive for a stock body but I definitely like where you're going.

Wider tires also change the diameter. I could have put 255's or 265's in the rear, but that would have made the rear a little taller. Here's a calculator that shows the actual differences between sizes.
http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp
If you enter in 245/40/18 and 265/40/18 you'll see that there's a fair enough difference.
