Nah, the knock-off tinted-glass ones are. I assume that yours have a clear glass as opposed to a purple or blue glass, correct? The pic here shows the correct way the HID bulb should be. Never tinted. You'll find a couple of stores out there sell their bulbs with a blue or purple tinting, that increases the color output, but the tinting of the bulbs is not recommened for various reasons. Even those tinted halogens are bad news. Basically crap in in box.

I want to know more about the iceLink.

1. How easy was it to install?
2. Is it made for the 8 or is it generic?
3. How much $?
4. How do you like it?

Convence me and I will get one in a flash!

Get ready to get your credit card out and buy one Here
:D

1. It was really easy, there is a step by step DIY somewhere on these boards. (I'll find them in a bit.)
Only thing you have to worry about is the hidden bolt. If you use the car manual it won't show the bolt, and the radio won't come off unless the bolt is out.

2. You have to order it specifically for the 8..

3. First and foremost, you need an Ipod. Doesn't matter which one. there are several IceLinks that fit all generation Ipods.

Costs:
Ipod(40gb)-$400
Dension Icelink Plus-$229

4. I absolutely love it. Especially since you can control the Iod from the streering wheel controls. And if you want to pick out songs yourself, you can always switch over to the Ipod mode, where you use the Ipod normally. And since your Ipod can make custom playlists, you can easily shoose those playlists while driving to swith up the music.

Sound quality is great. there is no decreased sound quality, like in fm transmitters. I have no complaints about the Icelink. It is much better than have the 6 disc cd changer. I have all 700 songs in my car at all times.

:D

Awwwwsome! Sounds like a plan. I already have a 40Gig iPod so the cost is not too bad. That hidden bolt thing is the kind of stuff that will drive you crazy. Thanks for the info.
