That looks great. Black is always a much truer black without a clearcoat, I've always thought that if I keep mine long enough I'll go with a 1-stage black, and I've wondered how a matte or semi-gloss would look. Fucking batmobile is how it looks. :)

I think it looks awesome!.........kind of a "Mad Max" theme to it.
"that's the last of the twin-rotor interceptors...."

Looks mean man.

fastlaneracing 07-14-2011 02:28 AM

Thanks!

The RX-8 do look really mean in matte black, this is an special one from My painter (he loves to do matte black and have made his own) now its impossible to do a quick fuel stop ;)

Its fibreglass and super light, good for tracking. Actually the kit was mutch better then a average replica kit. Front needed no adjustment. I do really recommend aerokit.Co.uk (Y)

Just wanted to share My painted matte black RX-8 as i have seen many request pics and all i see is one not finished and the #70 Grand am :)

looking really good ive been thinking of doing this to my 8 but i would have to wrap it not paint :)

fastlaneracing 07-24-2011 11:02 AM

thanks, go for paint. if you have regrets later I guess your painter would be happy to paint it again =)

This may sound strange but I got an killer paint for 2/3 of the price to get a decent wrap, I guess its good to have connections. =)

Incar Kinnekulle, quite interesting with close racing with friends.

Mantorp, alot of debris and unexperienced drivers in this video but I got a few clean laps in the end to scare my friend in the passenger seat =)

car looks good fastlane see you went with my wheel setup :p:

fastlaneracing 07-26-2011 05:04 AM

Thanks Stuttgart

Yeah, it was a good choise of wheels. now wrapped in 235/40 R888. The turn in and easier changing raceline is amazing with these light rims! im stoked, didnt think they would make that big differance but they did. =)

Feedback is also better and it rides so smooth on the road.

I have my OEM RX-8 18" on my DD Mazda 6 touring -11 but now im thinking of buying these RPF1 in the same dim. to it with some good road tires, im hooked on light rims yes!

Globetrahter 07-26-2011 03:54 PM

O man that looks dope!

How much round a bout is that paint job?

fastlaneracing 07-26-2011 04:06 PM

My price payed wouldnt say mutch as i am in Sweden and it was a cheap price knowing the painter... It would have been twice the price to wrap it. :)

Chip26 07-26-2011 05:02 PM

love the car in flat black. it looks great IMO.

Glad to hear it is working for you

I was scared when I first put the rim on the front and noticed there wasn't hardly any clearance. But they do excellent on the track and I will never go back to an 18 on the rx8 for the track.

fastlaneracing 07-27-2011 06:51 PM

I grinded of my calipers little...

pking1122 07-28-2011 01:31 PM

I think they sell authentic MS bumpers at mazda-parts.com. At least they still advertise it.

Did you see rubbing or was it just to make sure?

I haven't seen any marks on the insides of my wheels so far.

fastlaneracing 07-31-2011 05:47 AM

Its not rubbing but as you said it was to make sure and the guy balanced my wheels did put the weights out on the spot where it is tightest. I figure that will happend more times so I grinded my calibers instead. It was so little that needed to be grinded anyway. =)

Without weights on the rim there is plenty of space left (a couple millimeters atleast ;) )

Bighurk 08-02-2011 03:35 PM

Im lovin that paint job! How much does something like that cost?

8upbad 09-24-2011 08:45 PM

Love it. Keep the tires shinny and you're golden.

foo77 09-25-2011 06:09 AM

seem this is a Matte Black, i don't think shiny is needed for a stealth looks :D: j/k anyway nice Matte Black 8 to OP :)

Globetrahter 09-26-2011 08:33 AM
