Dope content: sick photoshop!
Hey whats up everyone!
I still haven't sold my Cobalt SS..........
But no worries, I haven't given up hope. I was initially going to hunt down a nordic green metallic '04-'05 RX-8, but after getting a nice raise at work, my heart is now set on getting a '10 liquid silver sport model
Anywho, even though the car is just out of my reach for the time being (I have the money, I just gotta ditch the Cobalt's car payments first), I have still been tinkering with some ideas for how I want it to look/what I want to do with it.
I'm a huge stance/hellaflush fan (hence why the Cobalt needs to go, lol), so that will be the style build I implement into the new RX-8.
Plans are to slam it on Stance GR+ coilovers, and stretch the factory 225 tires on a set of 18"x9.5" Work Emotion XC-8's +12 in white all around. And yes, i'm aware of the fender rolling/camber i'm going to need to run a setup like that.
Anywho, onto the actual picture. Thanks to AreTee from Stance Nation for putting this sick chop together for me! This is exactly how I want the car to look....its as if he pulled the image out of my head and put it onto the computer screen before you! Enjoy!

not a huge fan of drops like that, but it does look good. is liquid silver a 2010 color? it looks pretty "wicked" (add that to your title too!). no but really i like the look, just think it's a big much slammed like that.

I'm not a fan at all of dropping a sports car that low. Reason being with a proper front bumper and side skirts you will not be able to go that low. Not only that it, but it will look better with them on and giving a clean looking line of the fender over the tire contrast to slamming it on the tire as if it were an attempt at a bag look. Bagged vehicles look good on older ones with chromed out rims maybe, but not sport cars IMO; completely ruins the look.
I'm a fan of lowering with proper aggressive body kits to get the "look", but there is a fine line of going past that where it just ruins it, just my 2 cents. Everything is subjective to one's own eyes of course.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I realize the look is not for everyone, and I don't expect everyone to agree with me on what I plan on doing. And thats just fine.
I also realize how impractical it will be. Thats why I drive a '98 S10 TRUCK as my daily. RX-8 will simply be my toy......a weekend cruising car for when the weather is nice. Also, it IS possible to drive it this low. Just go visit StanceWorks, hellaflush, Swang 'N Bang, etc etc and look for yourself. Lots of guys/gals with all different walks of cars on static drops driving it at this ride height or lower.
The Swang 'N Bang guys are true testiment to the scene. They are pretty much all on coilovers, and drive their cars at height you see pictured. Heres a few pictures of my fave two cars from the crew:

But i've checked out a few of the more aggresive setups that a handful of the members have on here, so that's how im gauging my setup's idea.

I know right? They have all gone through some different looks/wheels, but that bottom pic is relatively recent and how they sit now. There have been ALOT of cars that have inspired me in the stance scene, but the Swang 'N Bang crew's Z's easily sit atop my list as some of the sickest cars out there.

If those Z's drove out of that parkinglot they are all going to rip up their front lips. It looks cool sitting still but so do a lot of women. It's when you go to use them that makes all the difference.
That being said, I'm all for lower for looks if that's what you want but there is a line that I think it looks stupid and that line is called a speed bump. When you get there I'll be the guy waiting on the other side of it.

i love the stanced and flush look but def. not for me. Those Z's look great, but that red one in the middle has the most disgusting set of wheels I have ever seen. And I mean disgusting in its literal sense, not as in good "sick" "nasty" "gross" "ill" haha. Good luck with gettin that 8 man, keep us posted on your project!
