Dirty Car Shoot

me and a friend decided last minute to find some places to do shoots in the future, so we went for a little drive and found a couple places. didn't take many pictures cause they didn't come out very well, but here are the ones i thought came out well. all comments welcome! enjoy!

and this was the spot for the first two pictures

i took the first two pictures and my buddy took the last two. i just started shooting and he's giving me some pointers as we go along. go easy on me x.x

I really like those pics, I do have two questions though.

First, are you lowered on anything and if so what?
Second, What kind of camera are you using? Im wanting to get a nice DSLR just not wanting to spend a ton.

i'm on stechs and oem shocks. i was going to get a set of konis to go with them but now i've decided to save up for coilovers. i just passed up a chance on getting a good used set for a steal price. right when i was ready to buy it, it was sold x.x in the first picture, the rear looks a little high, but i think that's cause of the angle of the road and i think whenever i turn my wheel one of the corners goes up for some reason. and the first two pictures were taken with a nikon d90 with a 50mm f/1.8. the other two were with a canon rebel xsi. i forget which lens.

Nice! Invest in a CPL filter. Also try taking some shots from further back. Read up on the rule of thirds. Motion shot came out decent, although a bit grainy. Keep practicing...you got a good start for sure.

Thanks for the advice and comments! I do have a filter, but my friend told me it was some cheap crappy one. Is CPL the brand? Or type of filter?

I'm actually running 25mm spacers all aroud. Same set up that 9krpm used to have, but my stechs didn't drop as much as I wanted them to ): ohwell. Now I'm saving up for coilovers. And the spacers will come off when I get new wheels. Saving up for those too.

Hahah thanks for all the good comments guys!

Yeah rev. Its under suicide bride in pasadena. Couldn't get any good pictures of the car with the bridge though. The panoramas weren't doing it for me.

Nice shots, you probably just need to preload the front.

Thanks!(: I'm pretty sure we did do that. And went around the block before tightening everything down again. But its no biggie. They're only temporary until I find some money for coilovers

Your pictures are turning out so grainy. Where do you have your ISO and Exposure compensation set to?

not sure what my settings were at for the picture in the gates. i wasn't supposed to be there hahah so i just got out took a picture and left. and the rollings shots are a tad bit overexposed but nothing too too bad. we're still working on our photo skills. it'll come...eventually hahahh.

and yeah chad. those are indeed zip ties hahah. lip is falling off and the undertray is falling off x.x temporary fix until i get a new undertray and bumper.

edit: my iso was at 200 for the 'gates' picture. i think the focus was a little bit off, but that might be it. i also didn't edit it at all. i could probably fix it up a little if i edit it, but alas, i'm a lazy ***.
