Dirty Black 8 w/painted emblems

Reordered the stock emblems and painted them black.

Painting the emblems to match the car is definitely the way to go without having to shell out $$$ for a debadging job.

cgrx how much were the stock emblems? i did this to my civic and i was thinkin its the way to go with the rx8

looks awesome btw

I like the way that looks on the back, and I've got the 3rd brake light decal as well.

Around $40 for all 3. The "MAZDA" emblem has no glue on it - so I really didn't need to order that one. (easy to break a post on removal though)

Reordering is much better than trying to re-apply 3M tape.

Looks interesting, now a front rotary accent wold really shine and form a nice rotary triangle together with the two in the seats.

Can you just buy the Mazda color specific touch up paint, remove emblems, paint em and stick em back on? I dig the look of body colored emblems with the RX-8 brake light mod!

cgrx just wanted to commet the borla looks nice too for $40 i think its work to give both a try i will try the tit if it comes out fine then it will be tit otherwise black.. or how about orange (JK)!!!

I sanded them to rough them up. Then painted with a hi gloss paint.
If I were to do it again I would have primered and then used a clear coat. Especially on the front one due to rock chips. Mine are fine and it has been about 2 weeks (1,500+ miles) I don't see them lasting very long. Waiting for some colored or even carbon fiber emblems........Parker :D

i want debaged damit!!! i dont get the point of having the Mazda Emblem and the word Mazda!!! why mazda why!!!!

ima goto the daeler this week to get new emblems. and cgrx on that thought i am going to take my orignal emblems to a store to see if they can be done in CF or color matched plasted or something maybe a rotary symbol that would cover up the holes..

i thought all the emblems were held on by glue. which ones actually have a hole behind it if i were to remove em.
