Detail Pictures!

So I finally got around to doing my weekend detail. Sadly I was kinda rushed with it, but here is what I did (All work done by hand):

- Hand washed, shampooed and Dried (Meguiars Shampoo)
- Clay Bar (Mothers)
- Meguiars Compound
- Meguiars Ultimate Polish
- Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax
- Many Microfiber Cloths used LOL

I managed to crunch down and get it all done in about 6.5 hours. Here are the results! :D

now get some detailers pro tire gel and it will be even more yummy

btw, do you use meguiars because of a sponsorship, or ease of purchase? I found taht their products aren't really as good as some other stuff out there, especially their waxes.

I did apply tire shine right after the photos were taken

I use Meguiars because ease of purchase. Its hard to really detail a LY, as the color is, for what I have found, is harder to treat and shine. I am planning on buying better products for next summer though

I will say this Ultimate Liquid wax is much better than the NXT lineup. And their Interior Ultimate Protectant is amazing! I did a black vehicle with same products and it really did look like a complete transformation

Ooo good deal, yea i mean I am not knocking the products at all, a lot of their stuff is great so kudos!

I agree, I used their NXT stuff and, it was ok but it never really lasted long. So far the best wax I have come across that doesn't cost the same as a small black market infant is Collenite Insulator wax.

Also beware of the ultimate protectant, that stuff gets HOT in direct sunlight and with the past issues of our passenger airbags cracking, it might be something to keep in the back of your mind.

Mega is a decent off the shelf product for sure. A sealant will help the wax last longer.

Ultimate protectant caused cracking? I know it gets really freaking hot inside the car - even with the windows cracked open on both sides.

It isn't so much that it caused the cracking, it was natural heat that caused some issues in the past with passenger side airbags, just search cracked airbag, or cracked dash. All I am saying is it probably isn't a good idea to throw a "protectant" (aka grease) on the dash that can hold heat. I find 303 Aerospace protectant to be a fantastic product. Protects the dash from natural sunlight damage (has some spf garbage in it), and also gives a nice matte finish.
