Yeah, it took a while..but many have been going with them since its great wheel that has a true motorsports heritage.....a true forged wheel that is light-weight and has style.
But yes, its takes a bit getting used to of having JDM on a DTM..but since its a quality wheel it makes it very sensible.
I used to say to people that asked me why I put volks, a japanese wheel, on a bmw .."Why did you put american made HREs on your bmw? At least I had BBS LMs on my M3 at one time" haha

badass i like the LMs
yeah i totally agree, im starting to belive in what you do that quality made wheels are a universal thing and place of manufacture shouldn't be a barrier. i think lots of bmw enthusiasts are into that now and around here im seeing lots of BMWs with volks and i have some friends with e46s on volks too. Its pretty nice see the wheels on german cars now because im not too big into volks because it became too much of "played out" thing on japanese cars for me even though im a big rays wheels fan. something happens at car shows when every other showcar has the same wheels haah. i actually have a set of CE28Ns on order for my car, same finish as my friends here.
my car will look like that except i'm getting 18" and my FD is yellow. i was planning on something else, but the super ******* crazy light weight made me get them.
here's my dad's set
i helped him pick them out, they had to be custom drilled from rays for the european sizing.

The GT-7s look good on your dads car! Sporty and classy...
The CE28Ns are going to be hot on your yellow FD!!! I would totally do that setup myself if I had an FD too....oh...is yours an R1 or R2?

yeah i figured the gunmetal would look good on the dark color of his audi and were going to do a brembo gran turismo setup in red which will look good and contrast against the gunmetal volks and the car's paint. they're 19s in case you were wondering
for my car...
its jdm, that makes it a Type-R!!!!
haha just kidding its an r1, man if i was rich enough to pay for importation and legalization fees to own an JDM Efini RX-7....
its a competition yellow mica, which was a color exclusive to the R model, and exclusively to the year of 1993(93 is r1 94/95 is r2). only 350 manufactured with less than 100 surviving. its a safe bet to say you won't be seeing a real competition yellow mica just cruising around. i find a lot of them that are just fakes, i have a real one thats all original in showroom condition except for a old school JDM Trust exhaust, here it is
here it is on the rack after i refinished my stockers for now, yellow looks crap with any other color wheels except black
i'll be doing 18" as 19 inches makes it look "too big" and it just dosn't look "right" im sure you know what im talking about you seem to know a lot about wheels...even 1 inch difference in diameter can make your car look ghetto. for the FD's overall body size size the 18 inch is the biggest you can go and looks the best, it fits the fenders perfect and looks business. what's nice is with newer cars you can put 19s and even 20's(in the 350z's case) and it will look perfect. im doing 19" 5zigen hyper 5zr 2 piece on the rx8 but i need to figure out the tires first. Its staggered setup 8.5 in the front 9.5 in the rear. its gonna be in a black chrome finish, not sure if you've ever seen it before but its like a super duper dark high polish finish that looks really bad ***, its a pretty new thing so you wont see it around a lot for a while. its gonna be on a silver rx8 with carbon fiber on it to compliment the wheels. those are gonna be the centerpiece of a household with 2 sets of volks, 800 bucks a rim
