I was there. About a 1/2 mile down the track. I don't remember if the YouTube video was posted in the Mazda Corral forum or not. Most of us saw it on TV.
They eventually, despite his pleas not to, cut the roof off the #40 to get Joe Foster out. We got to see the car roll by on a flat bed.

Uhhh^^ it still doesn't make it a good sight to see. At least I don't enjoy seeing rx8's smashed to pieces even if the driver is okay.

i droped my soda when i seen that, i was on edge of my seat the hole time.... such a shame really..

 

Yeah I saw that, that was insane but the two audi crashes at lemans was way worse looking.

 

I was watching this race on SPEED. Insane. I know it took a long time to get the driver of the #40 RX-8 out. On the telecast, the announcers were reporting that Joe did not want them to use the jaws of life to get him out. I was shocked to see the driver of the Camaro walking back towards the pits on his own.
