CorkSport Catback Teaser

My car is at the dealership getting another engine, but I have this to keep me company. These newer tips have been out a while, but I don't think I've seen any pics of them here. A big improvement over the original tips. I'll post installed pics soon!

I've had a Corksport Catback on my car for 4 yrs now. I don't have the big tips. It doesn't look as pretty as that anymore.
You may have to cut away part of the plastic shroud to keep it from melting and looking bad.

These tips don't look bigger than my 4" Magnaflow tips (on the stock exhaust though).

I have no problem with melting the plastic

Mine started to melt when I installed it. I got out the Dremel tool and opened up the hole more.

You have to cut the back of shroud. Takes just a couple of minutes with a Dremel so no biggie.

The tips are 3.5" and are the same diameter as the original ones, just a different design. Trying to find a pic of the original tips, but not having much luck.

Is this the exhaust where the older tips had the waffle type holes, for lack of a better description, in the tips?

I'm liking this design much more; looks cleaner

Yeah, the tips are resonated. The new tips have those holes also, they are just deeper so they aren't so apparent.

Here's a pic taken with the flash where you can see into the tip more:

It's never really clicked that there could be some packing in the tips for resonation, hence the holes, but that's pretty darn cool. Nice exhaust!

I had a corksport intake on my CX-7 and the quality and their customer service is top notch. I emailed them and asked them if they plan on making an exhaust for the 09-10's and he said no.

^ Too bad...mine has been great for 5.5 years...nice pleasant sound when not in anger....serious wail when in battle

I guess I'm liking the new tip, but then I like the old tip... not really any dif when seen from behind I would think. It's all good. Corksport rocks, great service and support!

Yeah, one thing you'll always hear about CorkSport is how great their customer service is, and it's true. Great guys!

Still running the stock cat, but I'm strongly considering a midpipe as my next mod. So maybe we'll see flames soon.
