The height of the Red box is 10cm.
Front2/ this material is rubber.

Can you put some weight in the car and see how much the car is lowered?

How about 3 friends, a full tank of fuel (petrol), and some cargo in the trunk (boot)?
If not this, how about 500 kilos worth of ballast, weight lifting weights on the floor and trunk?

What I am getting at is what is the spring rates like? soft, hard?

When I take this pic, fuel is full tank and nobody on the car.
The spring rates ? This car is Normal "standard suspension".

I also would like to know if the suspession is good. how stiff is it?

I've tried my girlfrens new car, BMW 330i, and damn the suspension is really stiff!!! i didnt really like it as it has a bumpy ride. But for cornering, it is damn stable.

Maybe RX-8(standard suspension) is................................................ .................................................. ...........softer than my previous car "unos road star",that suspension is T-TEIN.:D
I'm still driving only the city part of Tokyo.and Under the 'breaking in'

...he's saying that the RX-8's Standard dampers and springs are softer than his Eunos Roadster with (aftermarket?) Tien components... but, i gather there would be plenty of cars with a softer suspension than that...
