Depends how you define "potential." If you only want to do simple bolt-ons, then yes, an RSX will be faster. Once you start looking at more than that, the RX-8 has the edge. An RSX will never handle power as well as an 8 because it's wrong-wheel-drive.
WE REST OUR CASE!! The best time i saw an RSX do on our course was a 1:14, while the stock 8 was doing 1:04, and dont blame it on the shitty driver, the guy was experienced
well no offense slayer, but my friend used to have an RSX, and they are fast little cars, but their handling isnt great at all, and they arent the best looking cars either, they are really bland. nothing special, just a little faster civic.
SlayerRX8^^ I how (lol) when people don't read and understand the conversation. No one said the 8 was unconditionally better, it was a rebuttal to the statement that the RSX was a better car. However if you feel the term "better" is referring to it's use on icy roads, than pardon my post's incorrectness. I deem better as having a better track time. Sorry

I owned an rsx before my 8 as well........stock for stock the 8 IS faster in a straight line and is faster then most mildly modified bolt on rsx' on the track. The rsx was a GOOD car but not great...the ride sucked, the car was pushed passed its limits easily.....which were reached quickly on the track, and was bland looking. As far as bolt ons go; the k20 engine is a great and is the ONLY great part of the car, it makes good gains with bolt ons and will surpass an equally bolted on rx8 in a straight line......the track is a different story; the rx8 is a phenominal track car stock.
Well, when this dude rolls up on an RX8 forum in his last-generation Civic and says he bought it instead of an 8, what do you expect is going to happen? Post pics of an RX8 on a Honda forum and tell me how it turns out.

Just Kidding Acura is a very good car. I've owned one myself. Congrats
