Man i've been pretty good, finally got some new wheels and tires. As well as my hood finally arrived, and will be painted soon. My coilovers should be here sometime next week, and probably an MS wing sometime after that. Everything is finally comming together right before DGRR.

Flyboyindy your car looks great. I like the wheels, they seem to match the strikes. I also have the full MS body kit and painted TS hood. Its coming back from the body shop on wednesday and I have a few things to do (KW Variant 3 coilovers, MS side skirts, MS under spoiler, clear bra, rear brakes with 2 piece open slotted rotors) then I will get some pictures posted.

My wheels are the Enkei RPM2 that I got used. They are not perfect so I am thinking about having them repaired and 2 tone powder coated similar to the chrome blue picture except VR in place of blue and mettalic grey to match the grey on the MS kit. Thoughts?

 

Thanks for the kind words bro... =) Color matching rims always scares me. I suppose if its done right it could look good... but its all about what YOU like right? =) Post up those pics when you get it back! Would love to see them!

 

I agree that color matching is a risk but unlike those blue chrome/blue wheels, mine dont have have a large lip so the red wont stand out as much, i might only do the inside of the wheel and then the mettalic grey will be subtle because it only matches the bottem edges and the rear underspoiler. I think they would look nice. The grey on the MS kit looks great with the VR so I thought I should go for it.

I will get the pictures up ASAP, oh, I also had the rear badges removed.

flyboy that pic is awsome. Cars are lookin good guys, and the weather is about to get nice here so hopefully i will have the new wheels on shortly and have some new pics up after that, got a few other smaller mods in mind as well.

Highway 8, i actually thought about doing this for the longest time. I actually have a ton of pictures with the color matched lip saved on my laptop, unfortunatelly none of them are on an rx8. But post some pics after your done.

 

 

your car is perfect! If money was no object this is exaclty what i would do to my VR. willing to share specs on the wheels and what are they? what suspension are you on?

 

that 8 is fresh. its really unfortunate the roads around me dont let me slam my car that far.

 

linea corse lemans wheels, 19x8.5 +38 235/35/19, 19x10 +43 285/35/19 (too meaty, i need skinnier tires) lowered on megan coilovers! fronts need a 10mm spacer, maybe a 15mm with a roll, but the rears are flush.

i don't know when i will get it, and i don't know if i will get the replica one which i might because no body knows it, unlike the MS front bumper. i will see, i will need to retune my car first with all new upgrades , i will give you a ride with methanol injection
