My favorite RX-8

I bought my first silver car in 1977, here is my latest.

My '07 SS Touring package, pretty much bone stock except for clear corners, Bose system, sunroof, all-weather floormats, Mazda cover and front mask. I brought her home last March BN. Right now she's tucked away in the garage waiting warmer weather and salt-free roads. Still only 4100 miles racked-up, but I plan on fixing that in a few weeks!

I know it's just another stock silver, but to me it's the most beautiful car in the world.

No substantial mods planned until the extended warranty expires.

Are those rims Rays Engineering Gram Lights 57? Are they 18's or 17's?

yeah, it's gram lights 57f in 18x8.5

you'll find more of these on our member's cars than anything else because they were being offloaded so cheap a while back. $250 per rim shipped. less than 18 lbs per rim.

mysql101 your car looks very nice. Why did you decide to go with the side appearance package instead of the MS skirts?

I actually had the sideskirts in my garage for over a year. I decided not to install them and sold them off to a local guy for $300.

Later I installed the aero sides so the car didn't look so off balanced. I'm kinda glad I did too since many of the dyno shops I've gone to have had steep inclines that would have damaged the side skirts severely.

see if you can spot them in the garage

I spot them! on the drivers side of your car!

Your Sunlight Silver is probably one of my favorites on this site. Looks amazing and it's turbo'ed!

hehe thanks. But I'm not so much into moding the way the car looks - it looks pretty great stock. I liked the rear MS spoiler though, had to have that first thing. I just want the car to be as fast as it looks. And I think I'm close to having that.

hehe. I know you're kidding, but if I wanted more power, I just need to turn up the boost. The GT3071R turbo I have can give me at least another 40 whp on pump gas.

I might be able to also get real gains from changing exhausts too. My b&b catless midpipe is 2.5", as is the legamax catback. Some have reported dyno gains of 10+ hp in NA form, so maybe I can get more than that. The turboxs is only $499 for both. But I think it's not going to sound as nice.

Well if you want more gains then get the turboxs. Anyways.. I've watched a few of your videos, I myself have been thinking about going FI, but still have some concerns. I think you should do a side by side, Stock Rx-8 vs Your car. That would be a nice video

Updated February Pics

It was like 60 degrees out last night in VA. So I took some pics with a Nikon camera I signed out from VT. Used the wrong lens on MOST of them so more are coming soon.

I love the sexy black Delaware tags.
