I am so jelly of you Matt.

Rigoherrera 12-15-2011 09:45 AM

man those look nice!

Daeity 12-15-2011 01:02 PM

I like those better for some reason. Can wait for spring to get mine installed.

Getting my car corner balanced and aligned after the new year.

Did anybody have a bitch of a time trying to get the rears installed?

ooobigfire 12-15-2011 01:19 PM

Did you bolt the bottom of the strut to the hub first and then raise it up to the trunk? if not thats why it was hard lol

For anyone else that hasn't figured it out yet, it is a PITA to adjust the rears height while they are on the car. I was able to take the coilover back out and adjust it without disconnecting the anti sway bar or the camber arm(or whatever that is called, lower control arm? idk).

Yea I did that but both coilovers were crooked by about a degree. I had to loosen it up off the hub in order to rotate it.

Hopefully they can deal with all that BS at the shop...

ooobigfire 12-15-2011 01:35 PM

? that don't make any sense.. you should be able to manipulate it while its bolted to the hub.

but yea I'm sure the people who are corner balancing your car will probably adjust the height on the car. Its doable but is a pain.

shadycrew31 12-15-2011 01:39 PM

I've worked on allot of suspension for multiple cars and several different sets of coil over and shock/spring combos...

This wasn't happening for some reason.

Maybe its because of that one gray hair on my head :dunno:

ooobigfire 12-15-2011 01:44 PM

Haha I'm not questioning your expertise. I've had to drop the rear suspension at least 10 times to adjust my dampening because i don't have my extenders hooked up and everytime I have not needed to looosen the bolt on the bottom to line it back up.

I'm agreeing that its odd you had to do that lol.

LOL yea I was just saying it's odd becuase I have done this so many times!! I mean wtfff. I'm sure I forgot to loosen some stupid bolt somewhere and caused myself a headache. This is why i like to have a second pair of eyes on whatever I'm doing.

I have the extenders on simply becuase I hate dropping the rear.

ooobigfire 12-15-2011 03:04 PM

Yea I would have the extenders on but... its a long story short version I need a new rear adjustment knob.

ugh

mavictb 01-02-2012 06:48 AM

is there much difference between the powertrix coils and the stance GR+? I did a search but the results seemed rather foggy.

shadycrew31 01-02-2012 07:09 AM

I wasn't able to do a proper comparison with my buddies stance but from what i can tell there isn't much difference.

I think that the powertrix have pillowball uppers and the stance does not. I could be wrong though. I've driven on them for about 150 miles and installed new bushings for my front suspension so far everything is amazing...
