I did wash it just hadn't taken more pics. I'll take some today and replace those pics. It was just stuff I did over the past two years. Wheels, coilovers, replica ings shrouds.

I did a search, no luck;
I was wondering if anyone ever repainted their LY with mica/metalflake?

Anyone have an opinion?
Too flashy?
I do like the OEM paint, but can't help wondering what it would look like.

I had an estimate of over $600 for just the front bumper with regular LY.

 

Yes it's mine. I love the color, especially with the black door pillars and black hood accent.

 

The great thing about pearl is that it doesn't show until light hits it just right. On a cloudy day, it's pretty much just lightning yellow.

Has anyone painted an RX8 a yellow that isn't a variant of the stock offering? Like maybe whats offered on the Genesis or the Mustang?

 

I havent seen one... but honestly why would you, our yellow is much nicer especially when compared in person side by side IMO... pictures just don't do the LY justice compared to seeing it in person

 

Something I found funny recently that I read in a Mt article is that the new C7 Corvette color is called Velocity Yellow Lightning. And both featured C7's they tested had fatal engine failures during testing. So they share quite a bit with the RX-8 apparently,

 

100% agree. Most of the colors for the RX8 are that way as well. I especially like WWP and VR much more in person than pictures. The metal flake up close really pops.

Of course still have to say BB is the best
