well thats true... didnt even think of that. It is kinda cool to see the females that bought an 8.
every time I see a pic of a girl on a car - ANY nice car - it's a turn off, I just think of the dent or scratch she is going to leave behind.... pose WITH the car, not ON it car.

Im not female myself, but my girlfriend is (thank goodness ;-) and she adores the RX-8 too. Problem is she is training to take her drivers licence (in th RX-8) which has a tendency to keep her the speed a wee bit too high. I have to restrain her all the time "Yes i know you want to but it is max 70km/h here, and yes i know you can take this turn in 100 km/h but do slow down to 50 or you will scare the inspector to death once you try to pass your licence".
Anyways in Sweden (where we live) people are real idiots to the poor people trying to learn to take their drivers licence. Its kind of like "Hey look how fast i can drive and how slow you drive". Either they pass extremely fast making rude gestures because they figure the poor practice driver is driving too slow or they go up and tailgate like maniacs just to scare the person.
In any case one day we were out practicing and version 2 (the tailgater) showed up and started following. My girlfriend slowed down to let the idiot pass but apparently he was happy trying to scare her. She sped up a bit trying to keep it relatively legal and he stuck behind still. Thats when we started wondering what was his problem and if he got kicks from trying to mess with other peoples driving. Fortunately a twistier part came to the road with lots of nice turns. I told my girlfriend that i wouldnt listen to the engine and try to figure out how fast she was driving, more or less giving her free reins. Dang she smoked the guy who tried to keep up. A squarish volvo vs an RX-8, let me think... hehehe
So what im trying to get to with this post is that the RX-8 is at least as good at pulling out the devil out of girls as it is to get guys to drive like maniacs. Keep it up female speeders, please just dont outrun me :P
