You might be disappointed because .....wait for it...... I bought a part from Summit racing. I hate to leave Home Depot racing because the parts are just soooo much cheaper:).

I like that plexiglass tray!
V2 with 0 brackets is underway. this tray costed about $60 in materials, but invaluable learning experience to make it better the second time around. |

So, political talk aside, why'd you delete your home depot engine bay pics? I was getting a kick out of them
Probably because I was red faced over it. It was indeed dumb to post ,:spank:, but hey it is a learning curve. I really don't care if the pic is up here. I will post another of the engine bay as soon as I can get the sticky duct tape off:Eyecrazy:. So to answer your question that's why:lol2: |
It's not really that clean, but someone asked me to take a pic of it for something else and I thought what the hell... I should just post it.

lol jk, modeled it with cardboard, then used https://www.onlinemetals.com/merchan...id=7125&step=4 I'll upload a better pic when i get home |
Im torn, IDK if I want to make a tray, or use an opened out OE box to retain the factory look.
|
i hear ya. I needed something to cover the entire front behind the radiator since my airbox and battery box are gone.
|
Looks clean, my whole thing is I hate the white portion of the ECU and Fuse box.
Also anyone nowadays still make CF covers. I see them in pics but can't ever find any for sale. |
|
Yeah, this just makes me realize how badly I need to get my ass on this.
Do you have a thread on your battery relocation? |
^Me too...
That looks great, Paimon! |

Do you have a thread on your battery relocation? But that needs to be updated as I now have just the hot wire running to the engine bay through a hole in the passenger side firewall, and the ground is just going to a bolt that mounts the rear seat (short wire). |
No ventilation, or battery box. Tisk Tisk! I see you added some extra weight with the deadening material too.
Still looks good  |
Lol, i dont have that battery anymore anyway ;) My new setup is a bit different
|
Things to do on my list, clean engine bay like Carbon 8, then dress it up
|
Yeah mines still a mess IMO

well here's odula set up I'll be copying Attachment 225060 |
I haven't been able to source a low cost air separation tank for the coolant....thats the only reason i have that still there :(.
The radium tank is super sexy, just $$$ |

Do you log intake temps, Im not a fan of the look but the idea is sound if its substantial. I have my LIM coated black and my temps are only 7 degrees above ambient. (which to me sounds pretty good)

I have had them on for a month or maybe a couple months. They don't do anything for everyday driving really, the only place I saw a difference was after doing a run at autocross the intake temps wouldn't spike as much while waiting for my next run.
It is 100% worth it just for the look on people's face at tech inspection though... when they lift that hood and you can see that 24k gold reflecting off of their confused face... |

When mines done ill post up a pic, OE coolant is fine with me. But I added a tripple canister for other things.
|
|
yep, you almost dont mind paying the 250 because it seriously is a beautiful piece of art. Mind you, you will also have to pick up some of the hose ends if you want to use with OEM radiator.
|
Looks like you will need adapters too, the hose ends look small in comparison to ours.

http://imageshack.com/scaled/large/203/kfjg.jpg The corner piece is offered by Scott, at Rx8performance. Its a trio canister setup 1L per container. I use it for washer fluid, catch can, SOHN reservoir. I have never seen another 8 with it in person, and only one on this forum. It was an I have to have it when I came across it. |
Hey dude, I like the paint on the trio. I might do something similar to that with my dual set up
|
We have a local guy with that canister setup in black and the quality is marginal at best. Plus the guy who makes it is a crook so that makes it that much less appealing.
|
I respectfully disagree Scott, I have had nothing but great results with his products. I understand his past discrepancies turn a lot of people off. But I have seen nothing but great effort in his customer service and quality and wish people would take it in stride and judge what he is doing now.
Regardless to each their own, this is mine and I'm satisfied with it. |

I've seen many cars around here(FL) with that canister setup.
I like them. Instagram pic, No POS Renesis here... Attachment 224802 . |
