I'm here for you Danny! LOLz

Just be sure to wear some gloves, like Mechanixs gloves. The **** is dusty, itchy, and has some stupid sharp edges.

Heh, this has turned into the "rip your engine bay padding out" thread. As said before, this stuff has fiberglass in it. Wear gloves!

Im not trying to start anything with you, but your statement seems to contradict itself,,,, Lets say the 'material gold' happen to have the color purple, Teams like Roar and Eric Meyer, etc would still have it in thier engine bay serving its purpose, I doubt you would have asked if it came in a different color if you would have seen the 'purple gold' you dont have to wrap your engine bay in the 'material gold' its something you can do, you can use aluminum, brass, copper, whatever you want but they wont be as effective in deflecting heat, you can do whatever you want, if your interested in 'heat wrap' it will not matter what color it is,,,
I understand the purpose of it, which is why I show interest to begin with. The color is not what drove me to ask where to get it... But thanks for letting me know that gold is the best for deflecting heat. I dont parade my engine bay around anyway but for me personally I dont want gold wrap all over my engine bay.

.... Lets see some more engine bays

Josh,
you should use gold paint on the rest of the Revi intake green/blue stuff so it will look like the gold wrap was done all over it.

quick question, is the gold wrap adhesive on the back?

I'll take pics of mine tomorrow when i get it back. the shop is trying to get it back to me tonight but i'm not holding my breath...................yes i am.

i have an idea that i'm going to try that nobody has done yet that i am aware of. atleast not in this thread, i haven't seen it yet and it should look killer. tomorrow i will give before and afters.

My RB filter looks to have more oil on the element than yours. Do you run yours nearly dry? Or am I just not seeing this correctly?

It's over a year and half old, so I'm sure it's dryer than most. It has been cleaned though.
