Calling All Brilliant Blacks
No, I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but I have heard from a couple people that JIC USA and Japan are having problems, that production went down in Japan for a while and now that it's started up again, their coilovers are red (instead of purple/gold). So it could be a bankrupcy maybe. In any case, there are no wheels listed on either the US or Japanese sites any more.
If they really are going to be hard to find, I may unload mine for something in 17" sie for auto-x purposes.
Thanks for that info....had no idea about JIC's troubles.
No idea, I bought it like that. It smelled like they rolled it in a cow field though. It was a pretty nasty crash, the rear suspension links were literally pulled in half, the rear wheels got folded in half, muffler got pancaked, shocks were bent, and the they somehow bent the entire rear subframe. Engine, transmission, diff, and enough of the wireing harness were in decent enough shape for my project though.
You should post that photo to this thread:

Braking hard at end of the front straight and setting up for the chicane

Slow 2nd gear turn

Braking hard at the end of the back straight!

My car cooling off outside the track after I was done for the day. This pic posted a few pages back.

Thanks, Ross
I still need to repair the lip from last year at the track but other than that it is doing well. I will fix it sometime over the winter and then clear it. I plan to have BB paint added to the clear and then have it sprayed. It should provide a really subtle look and you will not know the lip is CF until standing next to it
