that's the way it should b driven! i try 2 keep it that colour, have'nt had a days problem on 85.OOO km's.

 

Wow, my exhaust has never been that color, always black. Usually have black soot all over the bumper and my shrouds are both slowly melting away though.

 

That's how mine look after a 25 minute track session. Wish I had the time & money to get my tips that color more often.

you guys wanna hear a retarded ghetto rigged exhaust situation? I got my rear bumper
-passenger exhaust outlet melted off
-several spots between where the catalytic pipe starts, and where it ends either blackened by a bad exhaust gasket (that I have no idea how to hear until a friend tells me) OR melted, as in having a pipe with no cat and a resonator MELTED that thing that was a heat shield...

I think 4 inch tips is a thing to blame... And getting that rx8store HFC was awesome, but when I changed the pipes my passenger exhaust tips always starts going up for no reason. The best idea I've had to stop it was putting a metal piece between the exhaust hangars, but lately it just hasn't been working...

And mine never get white like that... wtf

I have a question though.... I mean i get some pretty bad carbon build up on my exhaust tips. Im wondering if this is because the cars running too rich? and if it is running rich, what other signs will i get that it is?

Mine get a shooty black color that wipes off easily. I haven't pushed my 8 anything beyond 6/10 of my limit, tho.

The fuel and oil is most likely different than what is common in the States.

white smoke = running lean

you'd rather your car running rich than lean at any given time.

 

this i know. thank u. had my fair shair of experience from 2 stroke bikes... She only runs this colour when im driving in the high RPM'S over a period of time. she burns black most of the time, it's the heat from the constant high RPM's as 'Easy E1' and 'Expo 1' mentioned. there's never any black or white smoke.

 

Why is anyone paying this Phat8 guy? Do you all not remember flaming him for doing donuts on a public street during broad daylight? I thought we all agreed that his agressive driving made him an idiot and a sexually frustrated bastard....

i say, think 4 urself what 2 think of me? agressive driving? ''ok!'' I replied telling everyone i was having a event at my shop that day of the donuts. (spl, show n shine and burn out compettition.) the road was managed by the local metro police and event staff. i think my ''flaming'' was from not introducing myself properly? who knows... i'm not part of any forums as i don't really get much enjoyment and time 4 and from computers. so if so, excuse the formallities, i do enjoy driving fast and having fun with my 8, that's why i bought it. i can't understand seeing some one with a fast car and not wacking it and using it's potential it. what's the point?? formallities, donuts, driving fast, watching ****...?? love me, hate me..........
