Hey you have a full tank of gas! I would be happy also. On another note that idiot in the first pic doesn't realize how dangerous it can be to use cellphones while pumping gas I guess.

No, haven't seen it, but the warning signs on the pumps would make it seem to be a legit concern or why bother?

Cell phones don't create static.

If you look up the numbers, fires at gas stations are usually started by women. The reasoning is they are more likely to get in and out of the car - rubbing on the seats causes static which can then ignite the gas fumes. Always touch some metal area on your car, don't get in and out of your car, and don't rub your feet on the ground

I'm not sure why cell phones are not allowed, maybe it's got something to do with people who aren't paying attention to what they're doing.

Thanks guys - I'm very excited; Frankly, driving around in the rain tonite, even w/ the trac-control off, the car was never out of line, except when prodded hehe

Don'cha wish you would have had one of these when you were in BK? I spent my 3 years driving Polos and Beetles. The drive up to Sembach or over to Alzey. Those were great roads.

Congratulations on the new '8 :D

The clear corners will come soon; as soon as I find out the best place to buy them! hehe The strakes will come next...then I can't seen any mods for quite some time. The car has all the power I need; although I still need to confirm which Flash the ecu has.

Ever own an RX? You might want to turn it on for a while.

Just a friendly suggestion from a concerned Owner.

I haven't owned one prior. I'll turn it on when things get nasty - so far, the car handles just fine in the rain. No different than my miata with old tires.

Cept the ride is better.

I did notice that once I turn the traction control 'all the way' off, i can't turn it back on - without shutting off the car, and re-starting.

Don't you find the bright white gauges distracting? If you turn the dimmer down just past the click, you'll change the gauges to a nice red color, which just looks trick when you turn on the lights.

I'm curious: how many people here prefer the white gauges at night to red?

I drove with the white gauges for about 10 minutes before it was just too much... hehe

I prefer the Red now.

The white shows up in pics better, however.

You know, it so funny that everyone wants to get clear corners here in the US. In Japan, they have the clear ones, and people probably try to get the ornage ones. My 8 is Sunlight Silver, and I personally like the orange markers better than clear. I'd prefer to save my money for gas or something. I suppose I like cars to look like they came from the factory, a fit and finish thing, even if the car has some kind of kit, like RB's new one....it has clean lines and no splitters or rediculous spoilers or anything...the majority of us don't need them. The clear side markers just look too "aftermarket" for me....kinda like when someone puts euro tail lights on a civic. *Disclaimer: This is just my opinion, and you are entitled to yours, so don't rip on me*

And yeah, the white gauges lasted about 15 minutes on my car.

I'm not going to rip on you, but the only reason why I put it on and my other cars is because orange does not match anything on the car and so it's cleaner looking; simply aesthetic.

Back on topic, Congrats DMP! Glad, we got you convinced!

thanks, everyone - it sure feels good to be an owner

fwiw, I called MUSA with my VIN; they stated I have the MPS04 Flash - as of 3? September; as long as i'm not getting a CEL, there's no need for any further updates.
