Black wheels, Red brakes, Silver car, mmmmmmm!
Finally finished with my wheel and brake refurbishment and am TOTALY chuffed with the results! After trying to do the wheels myself and *@+!ing them up, decided to find a local paintshop to do them properly, best €160 i've ever spent!
First pic with them on the car, brakes still rusty from sitting for nearly two weeks so had a short drive before doing some proper pics,
Now that looks goooooood!
Red brakes and white RX-8 lettering finish them off perfectly,
Just come back from a drive to town (and a bit of beeping on the main road!) and was aware of many admiring glances as I drove through including a group of boys who pointed at the car and gave me a thumbs up!! What a great feeling.

Looks like a good paint job! I can't decide if I like the center caps chrome or not. I would like to black my center caps out and paint the M red, but that would take some precision painting.

As my car is silver, I think they look ok. However, I have ordered a can of Plastidip to do my bodywork badges and am thinking about experimenting with it on the center caps. Either blacking out just the logo or reversing it so the logo stays silver.

Ain't going to happen. Just not practical where I live. Speedhumps like mountains and carpark entrances that can only have been designed by someone who owns a 4x4. I sometimes scrape it with the level its at now!

I have an S-tech set up on my car as well, and it helps the look tremendously. I live in downtown Saint Louis which is pothole and parking garage central. You get used to driving with it lowered and it gets better! Either you stop scraping as much or you just stop caring...
