Black Mazdaspeed w Triple Chrome Rays Arthur Exchange Wheels

Just slapped the new shoes on. I am very happy with the offset/size/width. Mad props to Rays Engineering for coming through after TEN months of waiting for these damn things.

I'll put up some extra pics later at different angles for those who are interested.

Yeah they are a Rays wheel... it is a "japan only" line of wheels due to obvious reasons..(their logo conflicts with a certain high end clothing company's logo)..Rays sold a similar wheel under one of their luxury wheel lines but even that wheel line has stopped production also due to obvious logo conflicts with a certain auto manufacturer.
Which is the reason why I wanted this particular set of wheels...It guarantees rarity....forever. Or at least till I sell the car ...lol

-they are 19x8.5 in front and 19x9.5 in rear

thanks for the input fellas!

two more:

the new wheels really made a big impact...this is how the car used to look with the old wheels

not too bad for triple chrome.....a little less than 34lbs....my car also has titanium wheel studs and project kics titanium nuts (not pictured) to even out the weight a bit.

Welcome to the Rays club! The Axis Hiro still looks sweet, and with the A/X at 34lbs, is a featherweight in comparison!

WOW!!! I just had to comment again at how nice your car looks with those chrome wheels. I would love to have those on my '05 Shinka.....I think they would look just as good with the Black Cherry paint. Great pics BTW.

May I ask what you paid for them?

-the Axis Hiros do look sweet and if you are local in Orlando, I am selling them along with the tires and tpms sensors installed (brand new, they were $2100...they still have 95% tread left-practically new( i only work less than a mile from home) and I'm selling for $1400 firm local buyer only--they can be viewed at RZ motoring on semoran blvd) and they are indeed lighter than my new wheels.

-The wheels, tires, and lugs were a tad over $4k...I have a feeling they would look great on black cherry paint also....but just to forewarn you: you will need to roll the hell out of the inner fenders to get this aggressive look unless you want to go with a more conservative offset--you can also save some money and have almost the same look by going with Volk Racing SF Winnings (I used to have SF Winnings for my g35 and loved them)...maybe ask them if they could 'RMC' coat them for the chrome effect. It is one less "root spoke" then my A/X's but similar design and you can get a nice deep lip also. The only reason why I didn't go Volk is because my last 4 sets of wheels before the Axis were Volks..I wanted a new flavor...good luck on the wheel choice !

-thanks for the compliments!

i have the same style rim with the axis badge, i think they called it super-mesh. these rim goes well with winning blue too. wheels look good on you car benduen. did you use a spacer for the rear wheel? I had to put a 3 mm spacer for mine, it fits without spacer. The space between the caliper and wheel was too close for comfort. but i didn't want to take the chace.

No spacer..we chose an offset where brake caliper clearance would not be an issue. Luckily, the wheel doesn't stick out and just sits flush.

one more
