Black on black on..... WHA?!
 

I am supposed to be getting my Varis spoiler back from my repaint tommorrow in which i promised pictures to show my newly refinnished AMEs ....... but i've been saying that for a couple days now since the shop is been :bootyshak with me.....

Moo this is for you as i dont want to go down in history as the biggest picture teaser this forum has ever seen :mdrmed:

Alright enough blabbering.... here they are for all their glory.....

the ings look good on black, but I hate to say it though I think you were better off with the silver finish.

Man I don't know how you go through front bumpers so quick, i mean usually they at least take like 3 months to ship and get painted. Must have a nice plug.

The diamond cut finnish was very nice dont get me wrong... but 1) I was getting bored with it 2) I wanted a more distinct look :)

how the heck did you goto blue when we all wanted gold?

that would look hot if it was gold......blue seems tacky to me...reminds of of that white rx8 with blue and purple wheels.

I thought about it... but gold lips would be too much for the eye? :Eyecrazy:

They look good!
Now all you need is a little more blue to tie the whole car together. Changing the parking lights and getting blue bulbs on clear corners might do the trick. Also making the interior lighting color change mod would look awsome.

I would probably not do it.... but rewrapping the interior with blue suede would be so hot......all the current tan colored parts in the interior :Eyecrazy:

looks good BIU i like the black on black as well. i dont really dig the blue but it doesnt look bad either, to each his own.

agree with oreo about adding a lil more blue. gotta blend the color in.
they really stand out like "KA-BLAMM" since they're the only blue on the whole car.
but it's definitely distinct.

you could do what im gonna do....put a very slight tint of blue on your headlights! and take off the eye lids...dont like :(

Biu..I love it man! i think it looks sick like that! I did like the polished look better, but these are f#cking badass...Definetly different and i have a lot of respect to those that do things different and with clean execution as well! Props!

looks pretty nice. its something i never seen on a 8 before!

i've been thinking about either a slight tint or a faint blue smoke on the headlights for the longest time now.... but i dont really want to get too much attention from the popo so i think i'll have to scratch that idea... although it would look off the chain.....

After all the changes i've went thru the car is slowly coming into its own now... little piece by piece it is going to evolve into my very own unique rx-8.. the custom gemini cf hood....the custom finnished AMEs.... the varis cf kevlar spoiler....only black on this forum to have INGS kit?...... i feel each part makes my ride unique and different... im totally enjoying this modding process :Peace:

couldnt do it without all you guys' support......imagine if everyone hated the new wheels........i would have broken down and cried... :mdrmed:

anyway, i'm amazed that we don't see annodized lips on 8's since I love em on S2K's... definately looks sick.

i like the blue. it stands out in a good way. just keep goin with the blue and it will look even better.

Not what I was expecting after the poll thread for changing the color... :Wconfused

I liked the black and silver lip with the matching set bolts going around the inside of the lip so you could anodize those blue to match ;)

A set of strakes anodized blue would look beautiful too.

how about a matching blue pinstripe going along the top edge?

What color blue is it? It looks very close to Winning Blue. I wonder how the anodized blue would look on a WB car (like mine).

As for blue on black, I told my son yesterday -- he got a new black suit and was looking for a tie -- that any color looks good with black, so just pick the best-looking tie in the store. I doubt I'd have gone with the blue like you did, but it looks distinct and clean. Congratulations.

Its VERY different, but I like it a lot. Love the kit, and the rims are definitely unique. Glad we got you to go with the Black on Black look. Welcome to the INGS club. Seems like quite a few people are getting it now.

Its actually candy blue paint tinted into my clearcoat over my polished lip to produce that finnish. So its not technically "anodized" but it provides the same metallic looking gloss. Plus when the black spokes reflect off the lip it makes hte lip produce a purplish hue.......its uber cool :wiggle:

I like the distinct look, fits a 22 year old with an 8. contrary to what most here have said, i wouldnt add too much blue, especially not pin stripes or strakes (though it looks like you wont be putting those on anyway). I like the clean look with the *KABAM* wheels.

I like it, its diffrent. Its a JDM drift style look....
I am glad you didn't go with Gold wheels....Gold wheels are starting to be played out. I watched a few people get laughed at yetserday in front of my grocery store because they had gold wheels on there white G35. :icon_no2:

Leave the gold wheels to the Sti crowd, they look good on Suby's, everything else they look just ok.
