Do you have a black 8 which you've tinted up?

I don't want to go much below legal however very curious on how it will look on my black 8.

i just had 15 percent done on mine but my camera is broke. I dont think it is to dark

 

I got mine done last week with a charcoal (non-metallized) tint, 20% in the back, and 35% in the front. I got a lot of compliments on it during the weekend's Mazda Rev-it-up event... there are a couple pics in D Menac 7's rev-it-up 4/17 post of it, but they're at an angle that doesn't show the tint much. I snapped a couple before I left for work this morning along with my new b-pillar accents, so I'll pull them off the camera and post them this evening.

 

what about the tint like you see in the new infiniti q45s which is kind of a "mirror" -- how would that tint look on a black 8??

30 %? i hope that means 70% light though.. because those are somewhat light it seems.

however looks great

 

i know what your talking about but i dont know what they are called. some cars have them. I call them platinum (sp.) tint.

30% means from the outside, you can see 30% of the light transmitted from the inside. However, you dont generally lose that light inside the car looking out. Which is why tint always looks darker from the outside (actually this is due to the amount of light inside vs out. Try turning on a light inside the car at night with dark tint. Now the 30% is against you and you can't see outta the car)

This means that if you have 5% tint....like me :D ..... you can only see 5% of the light in the car. Which means i can moon cops in the day and they cant see me!!
