nah i had it done at the body shop us tristate ny guys go to in NJ Kenny over at East Side Collision....great guy great work.

And nah the copper pearl w/gold flake will only be blingunder the hood. im going for a vip look.

that's your contribution to this thread? as a matter of fact there are a lot of people that want that rear light but it's hard to come by.

 

Congrats on your appointment to the Military Academy. Although I certainly can't agree with your "go Army, beat Navy" sentiment, (my son went to Annapolis) during last year's Army/Navy game I actually felt a twinge for those Army seniors that went through their whole football career at the Academy and never beat Navy. But the feeling quickly passed!
Anyway, with regard to the accent light, a couple guys have produced them in the last few years. I don't know if anyone still has it available or not. This one was from Derwankel and does not light with the brakes, but with the parking lights. If memory serves me right, this is a standard feature or an option offered by Mazda elsewhere in the world as a rear-facing fog light.

my contribution will be coming as soon as all of my parts arrive i assure you. it probably won't be much to look at, but that's not what i'm going for, exactly.

regardless of the rarity of the item, i don't really like it. in my opinion, on anything but a velocity red the light would look out of place. but, i'm a firm believer in to each their own, so whatever floats your boat; ahem.

on the sidenote: football aside... last time i checked army has beaten navy in a number of sports this year. including most recently, lacrosse, baseball (four games!) and boxing (national champs). so while the army navy game has been a constant disappointment... go army beat navy. 'cause it's happening.

You'll see a lot of awkward things on cars besides a rear foglight once you start going abroad...like right hand drive, one reverse light, and headlight washers... and you'll hear terms like "boots" and "bonnets."

true. i'm actually familiar with these terms and odd little disparities between international units. i don't really think it's a matter of having a closed mind, but a matter of opinion. just because mine is slightly negative... which can be disregarded without hurting my feelings. i feel constructive criticism is a good thing for everyone. and i'm not sorry if mine isn't appreciated.

i just don't like how his "rear facing rotary foglight/parking light" looks. oops?

 

hey bigred, did that blue lip on your rims come on the rims? or did u get it painted/powdercoated on. Or maybe its vynl??

vinyl, no. that would be very stupid. it isnt a rays color, but it did come with the rims.

yeah, sorry for coming off like a sarcastic ***. the 'go army beat navy' thing must've set me over the top, lol. i just celebrated my birthday and i'm not accepting the fact that i'm getting older. you're entitled to your opinion and i respect that. again, the best of luck.

the sad truth was that it was beyond my comprehension that there was actually someone who didn't like the rear rotor light. i want one!

i actually think that the rx8 decal brake light is pretty cool. i might get one and take off that silly badge. i'd actually like to take off all of the badges but the rear flying m but i don't know how to fill the post holes. :-\

why would vinyl be stupid? would it come off or something? i'm just asking because that is what i thought i'd do when i got my new rims. If something negative will happen from doing this, please tell me so i don't make a mistake :P
