Bad day
Since I know most people like to see a good wreck, here is what happened on my way to work a little over a month ago. Luckily I had just dropped off my kids and everyone was Ok (minus the old lady who caused it and then didn't stay around, she is going to rot in a very hot place).
After driving a Camary for a month all I can say is we need to appreciate our cars and drive them more and quit bitching about the little things .

I zoom therefore I am.
well duh.. but his comment about the old who "caused it' makes me think she didnt hit him but had something else to do with how his car ended up in a wreck... which elicited my "what happened" question.

Wreck? This wasn't a wreck I dropped a case of beer on the trunk.
Long story short; an old lady wasn't paying attention to the road and watched the light turn yellow and panicked. So she slammed on the brakes, I was able to stop, the pick-up truck behind me couldn't. I ended up bumping her but she never stoppped and continued on when the light turned green.
Yes, I did have it repaired to the tune of more than $11K in damages. The guy who hit me claimed responsibility and his insurance took care of everything including my RB exhaust. I just got the car back after 4-5 weeks of repair.
Go ahead, ask me what I think of older drivers...
If anyone is interested in seeing them, I have all of the photos the body shop took during the repair.

They said since there was no damage to the front of my car she was not "required" to stop so they did not try to find her. The funny thing is as my wife is driving me to work after the accident about an hour later, I swear I saw her again. My wife wouldn't let me have a discussion about driving skils...
I work with the elderly on a daily basis and believe age is not a good factor, but that said I feel after the age of 65 a driving skill test should be required.

A shinka version has a limited color based on year, unique interior, and slightly diffeferent suspension. There are more things but I forget. A quick search will give you lots of info. I choose the car because I liked the copper red color.

How sad, if it was a regular old 8 not so big a deal but this Shinka will have this collision damage history attached to it's title forever! That sucks because Shinkas are quickly becoming more and more rare.
