those rides are definitely hurting stance wise, even if you don't "track it", a subtle drop will kill the fender gap and make those rims and those trucks look a ****-ton better, otherwise that gap is just killin' it for me. Wheels make the car, and you're not taking full advantage of yours

It's especially bad if they also put stickers that say "DUBB" or "20s" all over the outside of the vehicle.

The CX-7 in here doesn't look too bad, but mostly because of the lack of giant chrome "look at me" rims.
+1 on everything you said!

I have approx 37k on our '05 ML500 (Still under warranty) and we drive it back and forth between Vegas and SoCal. I certainly hope the truck is still worth more than the wheels.

...and at the price I paid for my wheels... it would be nice for people to "look at me" and notice them. Besides, its the wifey's ride.

just looking at the rims and ride height.

the vehicle looks a lot nicer when dropped than when it's jacked up like a monster truck.

Those are acceptable.

It's when you place rims that are too large for the wheel well and need to jack up the vehicle, or place 1" thin rubber tires on something other than a sports car that it becomes ridiculous.

Well if it peeves you guys so much... perhaps one day i'll ask mike for his assistance again and get those springs installed -- just gotta find 'em somewhere in garage
(its just that the wifey likes to drive her truck like a truck and go over everything like a truck )

There was a really informative article I read the other day that detailed accident reports and %'s of vehicles with fatalities broken up by vehicle type. The conclusion was the larger vehicles (SUVs) were less able to stop, less able to avoid, and because they aren't subject to many of the crash requirements that car's are required to meet, a lot more likely to cause fatalities to the occupants.

You end up with a vehicle that is cheaper to produce, and has a higher profit margin.

Jacking up the vehicle height only adds to the chances of rolling over.

But I didn't mean to get on a soapbox, so I'll quit while I'm ahead
