another one with weds wheels

here are some pics of my car with weds TC-005 wheels.
size 18"x9" 39+ front and rear with 235/40/18 tyres.
wheels are 8.7kg each (a bit heavier than expected. with tyres about ~2kg lighter per wheel than std)

before anyone coments it just came down off the jack so the suspension will drop a little bit as it settles, but it wont be lowered.

thanks to all they forum members that helped with offset advice!
also thanks to Nakaji's site http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/nakaji-rx8/

thanks for the positive comments
the wheels really show off the brakes but I don't think I will paint the calipers blue. from experiance on my last car blue just dosn't stand out. they would have to be in a brighter blue than the paint work.

Great looking blue! Kinda scared me there ... most people lower their cars ... yours looked raised ... ha ha! Looked like you were going to go monster truck styles.

We're almost twins (minus the rims). Any future plans for the car?

apart from painting the calipers I have to finnish hooking up the defi gauges. I may lower it if I can find the part numbers for the mazdaspeed spec II shocks that are hight adjustable or maybe Feed.
as for dreams a combination of customised mint blue body kit and re-amemiya.

Just a suggestion you should try lowering the car. The front has a big gap.

How about some pics down the side that show how the wheels sit with that offset? I am looking at some wheels tha are 18x9 with a 38mm offset so I am very interested in how they sit at the fender lips.

I'll post more pics on the weekend. you will be ok with 38 on a 18x9 they will be just under the guards in the front (as I said I'll post pics on the weekend). it really depends on how much camber you run or are willing to run! I reckon I have heaps of camber but I haven't measured it yet.
check out the link I posted above you will see the same rims on the guy in japans car stick out by 10mm in the front. he has exactly the same size and offset but you will notice he has little if any camber. mine are just under at the front and still marginal for .au rules (cops). if the cop squints to one side of vertical he may say they are outside the guards

It's a bit pointless posting prices for US members but they are a cast rim about 1/2 the price of what you pay for a volk.

new wheel offset shots are up.
you can just see the rubber on the front from above. the rear has a little more room but you can see that there is a lot of camber there.
