ALL day event Zaino and Painting PICS!!
Well I am another ZAINO BELIEVER, I spent the better part of 6 hours Zainoing the 8. I took all the steps and took my time because it was the first time. Here is what I did:
1. Wash with Dawn
2. Claybar with mixture of Z car wash and water
3. Wash again with Z car wash
4. Dry GOOD
5. Mix Z2 and blue stuff and apply that
6. Buff that off
7. Spray with Z7
8. Apply Z5
9. Buff that off
10. Spray with Z7
11. Apply Z2 (it said that this should be the last stuff you use)
12. Buff that off.
13. Spray with Z7
During the wait time for the polish to dry I waxed each wheel with some Maguires wax (only thing its good for compared to Zaino)
Cleaned the interior glass and all shiny surfaces with Automotive glass cleaner.
I also painted the engine cover and strut bar. And that turned out VERY NICE!!! Thanks to many suggestions on the boards.
Let me know what you think......

Thats awesome, you're right, ZAINO seemingly is THE best; I gotta get some being my baby is only 2 weeks old! I figure the website is the best source. What kind of paint did you use; it apears to have a metallic finish? otherise, looks like your many hours were well worth it.

I used Duplicolor Paint from Discount and a base coat, they are the ones with the Metallic Caps. Just read the instructions on the back of the paint can to see all the things you need. Not very hard to do just VERY time consuming to tape everything off.

FREE ADVICE!
Car looks awesome Blue. I spent the day working in the yard, trying to prepare it for reincarnation after it's winter hibernation. Washed and waxed yesterday. Today was an awesome day to do either.
The engine cover and strut bar looks great too. Good idea.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, I actually emailed Sal Zaino himself to show him some of the great shots of his great product. WE'll see what happens.
