Aerospace ~ RX-8 photo, by Invitation Only

Ok, people here might have more fun with the whole post-a-pic-of-an-8-next-to-a-cool-jet/rocket/etc concept if we try a different approach to it...

What we can do is someone post a photo of a jet/rocket/etc as an invitation for some forum member to go find this location and then post their pic. The only criteria for success will be that an RX-8 and the subject presented (some identifiable element of each) are within the one framed shot.

The "invitation" refers only to the location of the shoot. Anyone can post their pics. Even non-8 owners, seeing how it doesn't have to be your car in the photo.

Here's a picture of the business end of that X-15, in case it motivates someone to actually go drive out there:

And as an added bonus, on your way out there you can sneak out on the dry lakebeds and REALLY tear it up. (Or you can save that fun until after the shot if you want to appease the your-car-must-look-pristine-in-every-photo crowd.)

Now that's a damn cool plane. Always one of my favorites. I still like the shot in your avatar of the car in front of the Saturn V. You can't get that shot anymore unless you can get your car indoors.

Yeah, in a way I wish they kept it open. But I guess it's good that they're protecting it for future generations.

Marshall is now the only place I know that has SatVs on outdoor display. That could make a great #2 for this thread. Maybe someone close to Huntsville can offer a proper invitation here.

(Or make that a #3, if someone wants to press with presenting a good SR-71 location.)

I'll be back at Lockheed Martin in San Jose in a couple of months. I can get some RX-8 and Titan or Atlas pics.
