8's with front splash guards...

Anyone have pics of an 8 with the front splash guards and appearance package? I wanna see pics of what one looks like with them before I decide to order some for mine. No one local has them.

Thanks!

Shari

Shari, I've seen the front mud guard with the rest of the package and it looks good. I will get some one day for my gray too.

While your getting the b-pillars, might as well get the rotary logo wheel center caps too.

Any ideas for who I could get to install the splash guards if I decide to get them? I'm thinking the dealership would charge me an arm and leg to do it.

Put them on yourself. They are super-easy to install. All you need is a philips-head screwdriver, some isopropyl alcohol, and a pair of shears or scissors. Took me less than 30 minutes for both sides. Not sure who you're buying from, but mine (the true Mazda versions) came with very clear and easy-to-follow directions.

Best,
Bill

I was thinking of ordering from Trussville Mazda. Man, that does sound easy! Thanks!

Hey ALWAZL8, if you order them, you can always bring them to Austin with you and we could help with the install!

Yeah man, it's real easy to intall these things. You'll have to cut out some off the rubber lining on the bottom of the car for the front flaps, but it's not hard at all. If you're getting them brand new, they'll come with instructions and everything.

Ditto. VERY EASY to do yourself. I just used tin snips to cut the rubber rock guard. I got mine from Finishline Performance aka Rosenthal Mazda, and they were only about $75-$80 vs. $105 from my local dealer.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I don't know why Mazda didn't just include the splash guards with the appearance package. They look like they were meant to be a part of the kit. Probably a money making thing.

Wow, my10ae! Really nice wax job on your '8. That's as shiny as I've seen so far. Great job!

Somehow I knew Zaino was involved. :D I love the stuff. I have one coat of Z-5 and two coats of Z-2 on my white '8 right now. I'll probably wash it and apply one more coat of Z-2 this weekend. The Z-2 is such an easy polish to apply and remove, and shines better than anything I've yet used.

Best,
Bill
