What's the point? Like the flashing knight rider light - no purpose. If you like it that's fine with me though.

I like those!
I live right by the ocean and we get a LOT of fog, plus a lot of back roads with poor lighting.
I'd be interested in those.

Do you have more details on the kit? What it includes, installation, list price etc?

Judging from the early reaction in this thread, maybe a group-buy is in order?

It is a pretty expensive kit, but I have not been informed as to what make/model or what exactly is included.

Yeah, I was afraid it might be a bit spendy, but it's probably cheaper then an at-speed meeting with a critter in the fog...

So my question is, do those fog lights actually illumanate towards the ground or are they so bright they go up as well?

The entire purpose of fog lights is to illuminate below the driver's LOS, so that the light isn't scattered back in the fog washing out what's ahead.

These look so bright that they'd end up blinding you in the fog, not helping.

I'm going to assume you are serious here.

The headlights already are HIDs. What "step further" could he take with them?

The ones he has for fog seem to be more intense than his head lights. ( in the photo that is)
Also why not use the fog lights as head lights so that they match color wise?

the lights actually do illuminate towards the ground.(if you look in the pics, you can see the lighting is on the ground directly in front of car).
with the headlights off and just the fogs, you dont get straight forward lighting,
its all down and around the front of the vehicle like fogs should be.
deffinately an improvement over stock fog light bulbs.
i'll try and get a photo from inside car with just the fogs on.

Blue light tends to backscatter in heavy fog and rain. Doesn't mean they're useless, just not the best choice for penetrating fog.
