there is just something about a 4 rotor, that really rough, really unstable sound at idle, but at full tilt, nothing compares IMO.

I may get flamed here but I don't care. That 4-rotor is way more exotic and cool sounding than anything by Ferrari or Cosworth. Too frickin cool.

I think it's one of the most incredible sounding engine noises ever created and I'm ranking it up there with F1.

I'd put the blip-blip idle on par with a F1 at full chat.

They say Saab was born from jets.

When the 4-Rotor passed by in the first scene I was expecting to see something like a jet to match the sweet sound.

I wish all race cars were rotaries.

Yeah I dream about the thought of an N/A 4-rotor engine utilizing RENESIS technology as a production engine. It'll never happen but I'll be damned if the thought of it isn't cool. That could bring 450 bhp easily and be reliable(or unreliable with like 8 or 9 hundred hp). the strain per rotor wouldn't be too high, and if the seals and stat gears were hardened as well as ceramicoated housings and intermediate plates, with enough fuel. It'd be an easy feat for Mazda. Now as for price + emissions + size.... it seems like a goal out of reach. Fun to dream though.

But it's not legal. You'd get pulled over in a heartbeat.

Actually 9 Grand is the magic number even though it sounds like much more.
