05rex8's transformation--Tsunami front bumper
#51
Looking nice and clean. There seems to be a problem in the fitting on the driver's side. There's this gap and it looks jarring to me.
The ings side will sit lower than the front, get something cleaner like Knightsports to match your beautiful front kit :D
I'm a fan of the Tsunami front kit, just not feeling the fitting, that's all. Congrats mate!

the more I look at it, I think I am just going to stick with the oem areo flares...not worth the headache of putting on the sides when it looks this good.

I am happy with it overall though. Thanks for the comments.

Hey 05rex8 looks great you did a great job on the paintwork !!!
Acoustix I don't see anymore gap than a stock bumper you have to have some space in between the fender and bumper. I think 05rex8 is right it is just more apparent than stock because of the missing sidemarkers.

wow, some of you guys are really picky, lol.
the space in the front of the hood is not bad. the pictures make it look worse than it is....that rubber piece that goes in between the bumper and the hood makes it look a little off. I'm sure it is a bit, but it's aftermarket. It's expected. If you look at it as a whole, you don't notice the minor gaps.

The fitment doesn't look off to me if you look at in person I bet its is pretty close to stock look at the 8th picture from the top it looks perfect to me I think because 05rex8's car is silver and with the fluorescent lights bouncing off the car some angles make it look off. If you look at th 8th picture everything looks even if you think the gaps on this are bad you probably shouldn't buy a fiberglass body kit because it will look 100 times worse.

HAHA, I am really picky when it comes to body lines. But really when you look at it with one eye closed and faced the opposite direction it's hardly noticeable at all. hehe Just messing with ya man, I always liked that nose.

I still like the way it looks though. I was just giving rex a hard time.

that "gap" you see there, is not a gap actually...in those two spots you pointed out, it sits a little bit lower...it may have to do with the hole I drilled in the middle not being quite right...or the fact I didn't use those little plastic clips to secure it....I just used the 4 10mm bolts to fasten it at that point
when standing up, you don't notice that anyways..just the angle of the picture makes it noticeable

With my little time playing with fiberglass, I'm starting to get a hang of it. My MS bumper was looking nice until I jacked up the screw holes, which ended up with me putting a 6 inch crack down the center of it. I even practiced some fiberglass laying skills and got rid of the side maker locations, those turned out real nice.

^damn you noticed it....it does sag.
There needs to be a some extra material on the bottom of that edge to attach the mesh grille.....I didn't notice this until i had it all installed and did not want to mess with it ATM...
The mesh grill attaches in between that sag...if there was a mounting point directly in the middle, it would pull it back up

I think you can get away without using the Ings sides, but I think a set of those front OEM mud-guards would help make the front bumper look a little more level with the side of the car. I see a few people use them to make the MS bumper look a little more "proper" with their Aero Package!

That sag is kind of weird I don't notice it on the demo car and all the bumpers are the same here are a couple pics. 05rex8 you might have to take it off when you get time and adjust the way the mesh is screwed in.
