yes it still is in the engine bay but the difference in temperature from the outside of the shield is different from where the filter takes in.

There's still a little more power to be had... that's the problem.

Mazda addressed it with a low resrtiction paper filter and a larger VFAD. As for the aftermarket...

I just want to know if anyone has measured the MAP to see what restriction exists. I like to see things like "There is a 2kPa restriction at WOT / 9000 RPM, reducing to 0.25kPa at 8000 RPM" instead.
