**hks Racing Suction Pics**

I was one of the lucky ones chosen by HKS USA to get one of the first HKS RACING SUCTION kits for the RX-8...The whole install took about an hour and a half. The instructions were in English and were very direct. The materials used were of high quality. No kind of cheap crap was used in the whole kit. It got pretty late last night so didn't get a chance to resize all of the pix so by tonight i will post them. I will also give a final overall impression of the kit. I'll keep you guys posted. :D

The next pics are of the complete kit put together. This thing was pretty easy to put together but make sure you read the directions closely!!

My overall impressions of the kit are very high! I was really impressed with the quality of the entire kit. Everything fits nice and tight with no rattles. I know there are many problems with other intake kits out on the market but so far I havent run into any. There are no problems with starting the engine, nor idling. At low RPM everything sounds stock but under full throttle passed 5k ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE! Man this thing screams especially at 9k. I felt more of a torque gain than HP which was much needed in the motor. You can really feel the power gain from the 2nd to 3rd gear transition. Last night I went out for a ride and chirped 1st 2nd and 3rd gears without breaking a sweat. As far as the vibration everyone is talking about with the K&N, there is no vibration with the HKS Suction. This kit is highly recomended for anyone looking change out their stock airbox. It will also be on sale within the next two months. ZooM VrooM

Pulled up to some civic earlier with a loud ratty exhaust. I switched lanes to pass the car up but the civic continued to accelarate. I was at second gear at 8500k and actually drained out the noise of that civics exhaust. Forget the intake kit sounding like a box of pissed off bee's, the HKS SUCTION sounds like a cage of pissed off pitbulls!

I'd have to see some dyno #s before I believe anything. While it does look quite cool, and I am sure it "screams" above 5k RPMs, I would want some real gains from it.

And butt dynos don't count.
