In June 1972, Hans Tanner and other members of the Southern California Ferrari Owners Club set out to the road that's known today as Nevada Highway 34. it stoppedz in 2002 when a tragedy befall the event.

But this year, this event has reopened and it is opened to everyone!

Just look at the windingz course! I just feel that the rx-8 50/50 balance would excel in this....

There are two other races in Nevada that I know of like this but the course is 90+ miles long and not 5.2 miles like it is for Spectre 341 Challenge.

^ The Nevada Highway 318 events begin just South of Lund, at White Pine County just north of mile marker 9, head South through Nye County, and finish at Lincoln County mile marker 7. The journey traverses 90 miles of two lane highway which has recently been repaved and is in excellent condition, with long straights, twisty sections, and dips, which for the faster participants, may result in an airborne experience.

This event was run in 2010 as well - VRAlexander, who is known over the web for his Carerra GT antics as well as other things, crashed over the side of the road with no gaurdrails and died.
