Wonder when the 2008's will hit the US entry points? July? August? Who will get honors for first pics?

Well if it's a GT, then only the 06 can go on the list (04/05's don't have the button request to unlock the doors)

 

I can take a pic of my car, oh wait it was only made in my color '06 which as I recall they made '06 models from january 06 to september 06

You know, it's a bit odd that the 2008 specs aren't published yet. Last year, they put out the 07 info real early- like February......

I knew someone would say it was going to be a Maazdaspeed verssion. I cant belive it took that long

Hah! I knew it! I knew there'd be an 08, even though the press is trying to hide it. Mazda wouldn't forget about us, they just wouldn't.

My color choices for 08: Plum Crazy or Sublime (green) from the '70s. Be seen.
And yellow again.

omg let the rumors pour.....there wont be an 08! they will just go right to 09 and itll be a 3 rotor twin turbo supercharged with 5 billion horsepower and 90 million mpg and itll seat 45 and weigh 4 pounds and have 1 door and itll order pizzas!



realistically, id call for a late entry for 08s, maybe oct. but the west coast will see them first...im sure little has changed. maybe some colors moving around but thats it. itll prolly stay this way until 2010 when the next gen rx8 comes out. (omg i kno i kno stfu, u think itll be an rx7 or an rx9 or a kabura or whatever the else u ppl rumor....) nonetheless, little changes for 08

 

Wow, you're lucky. Especially if the changes are anything like the drastically different 07's.

 

Just so you guys know, Mazda has already put up new rebates for the '07 8s.. $2,250 in contrast to the $1,000 from previous months (http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...entives.action). . at least in New Jersey.

Also, seeing another dealer's online inventory, looks like Crystal White, Sunlight Silver, Storm Blue will be some of the colors. I know that doesn't confirm much and dealers can fumble with this data. What's interesting is specs and pictures don't appear for the '08s yet like there's some sort of non-disclosure agreement in place. Probably the same exact car, but at least the rebate is nice. I've been waiting for a while for this one. Looking to join everyone soon with my near-future purchase of the RX-8.

 

2008 has 6CD/MP3 changer on Touring and GT? 2006-2007 has 6CD changer

Shock sensor alarm is N/A for 2008 GT, so does it mean that GT package comes with the shock sensor already?

 

i was at the dealership yesterday and made a sales guy look it up for me.

when you go to the section where there are pdf's for "current year" and "previous model year" specs th e2007 RX-8 specs have been moved to the "previous year" but...

under "current year" there is only a notice saying " current year specs will be published at a future date"

he did show me they had some on order (coupla crystal whites, silvers , grays and blues) but there wasnt anything new in those in the breief look i took. pricing was currently the same.

 

yay....nothing totally new. i was at my dealership about a week ago and some sales rep told me that i was sitting in a '08. i didnt believe him because i've seen the car in there for the past few months. my guess that is the car will have one or two minor differences in the body or interior, who knows. nothing new in the engine.

 

Changes for 08 = some damn new color and maybe some interior touch ups.

For more HP, you need to go to a pro-tuner and install one of their kits:

Mazsport (turbo), Pettit (supercharger), or Greddy (old kit turbo). The bad news = expensive. The good news = more HP and they are becoming more mature and thus many of the problems have/are being solved.

Only new cool thing on the block = Cobb AccessPort. Now when that finally, finally gets released that will be some interested news. Hopefully, it will be able to flash U.S, Europe, and even JDM/Asia ECUs. Hopefully the Cobb AccessPort will also induce the AxialFlow Supercharger to come out of hiding.
