H said the engine was efficiant, well I guess 238hp from 1.3 l is but not 16mpg from 1.3L :)

Haha that was the most optimistic review of the 8 I ever saw.. and the one thing he didn't like were the suicide doors :lol:

There is going to be alot of talk on the 350Z and G37 forums.

i like how he didnt say anything about how bad the gas is and hasnt improved at all since it was first introduced in 1957.. and "its the fastest sports car" lol.. what is he smoking. lol.. but he is right about the back seat and rear doors.. sport cars dont need them but it is nice once in a while.. Even on top of that he said it has a PERFECT WANKEL in it. lol.. i guess he doesnt know that they like to blow up.

not a word about great handling, or wonderful sound from engine ,or crappy mpg

LOL, that was the funniest shit I've ever seen. I had to keep looking at the car to make sure he was talking about an RX-8. He could at least act like he knew anything about the car or any cars for that matter. That's the last time I watch that show. lol

I agree. There is a reason most of us have probably never heard of this show before. It was stupid. That guy didn't know anything about reviewing cars. It seemed like this guy never even read a car and driver article in his life.

Don't get my wrong. I love my 8. But I know it has short comings. Its not "fast" like a 350Z - meaning in a straight line - and if the rotary is so perfect.... why is the rx8 the only car in production with one? If it were that much better, someone else would try one.

It almost makes me feel like we're the idiots that want so much to be different that we have an engine that is cool, but not nearly the best option for the type of car we want to drive.

Also - Did the host remind anyone else of Flava Flav?

Pretty lame, but at least it was kind of nice to see him drive an NSU Spider. Then the Checker Cabs came on and I thought, no way they had rotary engines!
