I know what you guys mean but ...
Facebook = Private , even u set it to Private/friends only there are ways to see anything there without permission. and it's not even hard.
That's why I always just post useless **** like I fixed my car I hit a cone blah blah blah on fb. nothing important.

Mazda's statement on the cessation of rotary production
Thank you J
As the only company to ever commercialize and mass-produce the rotary engine, Mazda notes the production of the last 13B RENESIS engine with both sadness and pride; sadness because of the end of a significant part of the company’s history, pride because Mazda succeeded where no other car company could. And of course, no mention of the rotary engine would be complete without a mention of the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans win, the 787B being the only car ever to win the race using something other than a reciprocating piston engine, and Mazda the only Asian car company ever to win the race.
For the future, the rotary is not dead. While the majority of the company’s engineering resources are focused on the development of our revolutionary SKYACTIV Technology, work does continue on the next-generation rotary. Additionally, work continues on the use of fuels other than gasoline, taking advantage of the rotary’s unique ability to operate on multiple fuels without extensive reengineering. We’ll share more information on the next generation of rotary when we can.

Do me a favor and send an e-mail to the folks at Top Gear asking them to give the rotary a proper send off on the next series.
They loved the RX-8. How cool would it be to see them taking 3 historic rotaries out for a spin and reminding folks why they are so special.

This post just made my rx-8 the more special. I have 3 persons in line wanting to buy my car. Hahaha.... Not a chance. She's a keeper. Just changed the coil and it is purring ever so seductively tempting me to go out for a run.

Hmm.... something occurred to me.
Mazda's production of the rotary won't exactly come to a complete stop...
Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear
Just sayin....

Guys i think we need to notify all the rotary forums eg rx7club
get everyone to email topgear,
because if sarb got a mention, surely the rotary does,
the engine that disproves the statement "there's no replacement for displacement"
im really drunk and teary
we need this top gear episode

Do you guys think that if "probably" another rotary car is released it will be called RX9? I can't see the RX8 name being used again, just because of the media relationship with it. My feeling is why not Mazda? If Chevrolet can produce a ZR1 and now Dodge come out with a new 630hp V-10 in the Viper without cylinder de-activation? Why can't Mazda continue with a rotary, is it really that dirty? I know Mazda has to be doing better than Dodge financially!

Emissions,Emissions,Emissions.
Fuel Economy,Fuel Economy,Fuel Economy.
The Rotary as we know it is DEAD...it just won't happen...and I would love to eat my words.
