The RX-8 is starting to get more love. People are really taking to the RX-8, my cousin who went to last weekends HIN show said , more than half the show had RX-8 from mild to wild, where last year there was only 4.

RX-8 has always been in the NFS series.GT is a given. Now other racing games are including the RX-8 in there roster.

Its gonna be cool to see how well this game's environment lines up with real world L.A. landscapes, buildings, businesses, roads, beaches, ect. I guess im more interested because i use to live there and work the entire L.A. area from Malibu down to Long Beach over to Diamond Bar (job encompassed large area grid). I will already know which highways/streets to take

as mentioned in the other thread. Rx8s are becoming affordable at used prices. This means that more people can buy them. This will pull bring more attention to the car
rx8s are sexy cars for sure

RX8 is a badass looking car, way ahead of it's time and has classic potential. Good job Ikuo Maeda, his dad would've been so proud of him. J/K

Really wish this wasn't the case. Once it becomes a common ricer vehicle i'll have to sell it

I think it requires too much TLC to ever become a common ricemobile. Look at the Rx7, you don't see too many riced out rotaries roaming the streets.

Too true. RX-8's in video games are usually pretty slow, and since all the cars handle exactly the same theres no reason to drive one. (GT being one of the few notable exceptions regarding handling)

It won't though. Ricers will never maintain them properly and their engines will die. The after market for RX-8s are limited to cosmetic mods, expensive cosmetic mods, and VERY expensive FI setups, that hardly anyone knows how to tune properly. With todays credit crunch, I doubt that even ricers are going to have the dough around to mangle RX-8s.

Everything about the 8 is more complex than most tuners are prepared for. I have alot of experience with piston tuner cars, mainly Nissan's, and with the 8 I am totally out of place. The whole setup is different, and because of that, you wont see those crappy ricey 8's. point as case is the radio. First stop for most ricers is to go to best buy and drop 100 on a radio and throw it into a car. You CANNOT do this to an 8.

I was planning on putting my $3k system from my old car into my RX8 when I got it, only to find out that I couldn't. Basically, I've just gotten used to not having a system. I find listening to my rotary with the music off isn't as bad either...

Wha? Not possible? All you need is a LOC, an amp and your speakers. you might not be able to replace your head unit too without a kit, but everything else can work just fine. Trust me, I've done it.
