RX-Hachi

I travel to Japan on a regular basis for business, and over the past year have bought various magazines that focus on the RX-8, RX-7 and Rotary cars. Just thought I'd share a few. The pictures alone are worth the price, even if you can't read a word of Japanese. Not sure how easy these are to find in the US.

Top Left : Only Mazda - Covers the RX-8, all 3 RX-7 gens, the Miata and Miata Coupe (JDM only), Cosmo, RX-3 and various Mazda race cars.

Bottom Left : RX-7 Magazine - Regular publication on the RX-7, also includes a magazine within a magazine "RX-8 Magazine".

Top Right : Hyper Rev's RX-8 - A collection of various articles on the RX-8 with many tuner cars. (This issue was just released in Japan a month or so ago.)

Bottom Right : RE Rotary Magazine - Another regular publication that covers the Rotary Engined cars, mainly focuses on the RX-8 and RX-7. This latest issue has a story on Turbo vs. Supercharged RX-8's and features RE Amemiya's GReddy turbo charged RX-8. It takes the AT 210ps model to 260 ps. Also featured is the Blitz supercharged RX-8.

From some book store in Tokyo (can't remember the name now) about 6-9 month ago. It's one of my favorites, but have not seen it since.

I just got back from Tokyo. Of the mags I posted, Hyper Rev's RX-8 (vol. 96), RE Rotary Magazine (2004 vol. 9), and RX-7 Magazine (2004 no. 22) are all in stock in most book stores in Japan. The rest have long gone, but back order copies might be available for some of them.

I only now about RX-7, RX-8 mag (don't know when the next one is due)... I don't want to buy RX-7 mag all the time for a few pages of RX-8 (RX-8 mag is going to summerize it anyway) and I know and love HyperRev... any other RX-8 only mag out there??

None that come out on a regular basis. The 100% RX-8 magazines seem to be periodic specials, like the HyperREV RX-8 mag. But RE Rotary Magazine isn't bad, with about 40% RX-8 content. Vol. 5, which I missed, was all about the RX-8.

I bought the Hyper Rev and the 1st Issue of RX8 Mag (second pic top right)

I can't understand a word of it.... but They sure is some purdy picts

Cost $43 bucks shipped to my door and took about a week and a half to arrive (I live in Miami) :D
